Mary Elizabeth Winstead has been getting rave reviews for her performance in Smashed. Now having viewed the trailer, I can I see why. Look at her drinking in the shower and riding bikes and playing pool. She’s the perfect girl! Until she decides to throw all of that away like a fool. And that’s the plot of Smashed. Winstead and Aaron Paul redefine their relationship when they agree to give up drinking and drugging and, in her case, make-up as well.

His transformation into Rainn Wilson is near complete. Parks & Recreation actor Nick Offerman has joined Diablo Cody’s directorial debut, which was formerly known as Lamb Of God.

The film centers around Julianne Hough‘s young Christian girl who loses her faith after being badly burned. With her moral center gone, she travels to Vegas to live a sinful life. Meeting Octavia Spencer, Russell Brand, and Holly Hunter along the way. We can also assume she crosses paths with Offerman, whose role is as yet undisclosed. Alls I know is it will be weird to hear him say “home skillet.” (Deadline)

Megan Mullally And Nick Offerman To Share ‘Gay Dude’

The only celebrity couple worth giving a damn about, aside from maybe Amy Poehler and Will Arnett, are taking their talents to the big screen, as Nick Offerman and wife Megan Mullally both sign on for parts in Chris Nelson’s upcoming Gay Dude.

Gay Dude follows two teenagers as they make a pact to help each other lose their virginity, only to discover that one of the two is gay. Gary Cole will play the gay boy’s father, while Mullally will play his mom. Nick Offerman will play the other boy’s father. Sounds promising, especially considering the talent playing the parents. It looks like they could steal the show from Nicholas Braun and Hunter Cope, who play the two teenagers.

While Mullally and Offerman probably won’t be playing off each other much, given their characters, they’ll do just fine on their own. So as long as we get some uncomfortable silences from Offerman and some wildly inappropriate remarks from Mullally, we’ll be quite all right.

Looks like Oprah proved too difficult a get. Producers of Parks and Recreation have cast Patricia Clarkson to play Ron Swanson‘s evil first wife, Tammy 1.

“We talked about pretty much every possible iteration of who she is and what her backstory is and all we knew is that we didn’t want to do the same thing we did with Tammy 2,” Mike Schur,’Parks and Recreation,’ executive producer said told TV Guide. “Tammy 1 is her own specific brand of demon. I think we came up with backstory for her that’s both funny and illuminating and also answers all of the questions that you would have when seeing people’s reactions to her presence in the finale.”

Clarkson will appear in at least two episodes as the only woman capable of intimidating Tammy 2, who is played by Nick Offerman‘s real life wife Megan Mullally. I tried bringing my wife to work once but that was the day we reported on the Blake Lively nude pictures leak. It ended poorly.
