Making nerd dreams come true.
The headline really says it all.
In the latest episode of Speakeasy, comedian Paul F. Tompkins interviews Captain Malcolm Reynolds himself, Nathan Fillion.
It’s a terrible, life-altering condition, and Nathan Fillion wants you to know there’s a cure.
“Firefly” fans are hardcore and extremely unwilling to find a new thing to obsess over.
Well, here’s some news that may or may not piss you off depending on whether or not you own a Playstation 3 or the “Firefly” box set. First, Mark Wahlberg is re-teaming with David O. Russell for a fourth film. Secondly, that film is Russell’s adaptation of Uncharted.
"Did he just call me the 'C' word?"
David O. Russell surprised us all when he pulled a Paul Thomas Anderson Paul W.S. Anderson and took the helm of videogame adaptation Uncharted. MTV reports that Nathan Fillion, who apparently doesn't mind gettin' told, took to Twitter to campaign for the lead. He told his nerds:
"If ever there was a Twitter campaign, let this be it. Rise, ye Browncoats. Rise, ye Castillions. RISE!"
And rise they did. They took to Deadline's comment section to nominate Fillion for the role. He should realize if you wanna get anything done, you need to take your case to Facebook. Look what it did for Betty White and that pickle that's more well-liked than Nickelback. I've gotta agree though. Fillion would be a great fit for the project. He's got the chin, the bravado, and the swagger. With juuuuust a little bit of special effects work, he could really look the part. As evidenced by this high-end digital mock-up.
James Gunn is going to break the Internet if he keeps casting so many geek-friendly actors in his upcoming Super. The superhero dark comedy stars Rainn Wilson as a man who up and decides to be a superhero after his wife leaves him despite his lack of powers. LOTR's Liv Tyler is the wife who leaves his ass for Kevin Bacon's charming drug dealer. Now, Nathan Fillion (Dr. Horrible), Ellen Page (Inception), Linda Cardellini (Freaks and Geeks), Michael Rooker (Mallrats), Andre Royo (The Wire), Sean Gunn (Gilmore Girls), and Steve Agee (The Sarah Silverman Program) are all aboard the project. The nerdgasmic film is currently filming in Louisiana with no confirmed release date. Rest assured, whatever opening day is decided upon will be the day that me and the other cool kids go rob the nerd houses. Those Star Wars figures will be mine! (GeekWeek)
