In a new music video, Matthew McConaughey has reprised his legendary Dazed and Confused character Wooderson, the man who keeps getting older even though high school girls stay the same age, and who thinks it would be a lot cooler if you had a joint on ya.

The appearance comes in Butch Walker and the Black Widows’ video for “Synthesizers,” a song that sounds just like “Come On Eileen,” but updated for 2012. The song is so-so, but seeing Wooderson again is a flat-out revelation. He’s rocking the same look, and 18 years later, Matthew McConaughey doesn’t look as though he’s changed a bit.

His advice for looking so young?

Just keep livin’, man. L-I-V-I-N.

Back in 1988 James Cameron made a terrible decision to direct a music video for Bill Paxton‘s band Martini Ranch. I’m sure the final product has been haunting him ever since, a horrible display of mariachis and teased hair that not even his domination at the box office can banish from his mind’s eye. Ooooo is that Kathryn Bigelow?! Why in God’s name don’t they show more of her? And why is she wearing so many articles of clothing? Bustiers abound in this P.O.S. and Cameron doesn’t slap one on Kathryn. If I wasn’t so terrified of you, James, I’d give you angry fist shake. (Cinematical) 

Okay, this better SERIOUSLY be it. Spike Lee edited together old footage of Michael Jackson with some new wide, fast push-in shots to create the final music video for his final song, This Is It. Lee’s probably livid (he gets livid a lot) that the director of High School Musical, Kenny Ortega, got to direct the big screen version of M.J.’s farewell, and he wanted to create his own harmonious images of the now months dead superstar. And as the years have gone by, you’ve likely said to yourself why haven’t I documented the exploits of "The Sunday Afternoon Beer Sh*ts?"  (or whatever your fantasy league is called). Because dammit, there’s so much gravitas and drama and smack-talking and just allweek in and week out. 

Well tell your inner sports commissioner/network executive to rest easy, because this Thursday comes "The League." And with it comes a reason to watch FX every Thursday night after "It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia."  If you don’t know "The League" is a TV show about a Fantasy Football League, and stars comedian Jon Lajoie (see above clip), as well as Paul Scheer ("Human Giant"), Nick Kroll ("Cavemen," "The Ed Hardy Boyz"), Mark Duplass (The Puffy Chair, Humpday) and Katie Aselton.   

What does this have to do with Vaginal Hubris, about which Lajoie waxes lyrical in the clip above? No idea. You’ll have to watch this Thursday @ 10:30pm ET/PT to find out, I guess. You may learn something.

Where the Wild Things Are arrived this past weekend, and it pretty much turned out to be a therapy session with a bunch of clinically depressed forty-somethings dressed like furries. So when we heard that "We Were Once a Fairytale," the Spike Jonze-directed film starring Kanye West, hit the Web today, it was the news equivalent of a Xanax. 

We have the 11-minute piece here, minus the first minute or so. Spoiler alert: it’s effing weird.

Yeah, like we said, pretty weird. I’d like to see Spike Jonze revisit themes in Adaptation and do a film in which Kanye starts to interrupt himself, and then find out that his entire life was actually the daydream of an autistic child staring at a snow globe. That autistic child’s name? Kanye West. 

Dennis Haskins, better known as Mr. Belding, is upset about being left out of the Saved By The Bell reunion that People magazine recently put together. Apparently Zack and the show’s other main actors would only reunite if "creepy" Belding and Screech were excluded. "I earned the right to be there. If anybody deserved to be on that cover, it was Dennis Haskins," the actor explained to the Detroit News. "I want people to know it was not my choice not to be there, because I would have been there. It hurts my feelings, but I’ll live." Not cool, you guys. Belding is just as much a part of the show as the rest of you. Just because he always leers at Jessie’s chest while saying with a lecherous smile, "Loved you in Showgirls," is not reason enough to freeze him out. The new music video – or "clip" – for Linkin Park’s "New Divide" from the Transformers Revenge of the Fallen soundtrack was released – or "dropped" – on myspace today.  You can check it out after the jump.  It has a few shots from the film that many of us haven’t seen – or "peeped" – yet, including some shots of what looks like Bumblebe fighting Ravage. 

In traditional soundtrack music video fashion, the film moments are intercut with shots of the band performing.  And it’s Linkin Park, so the whole thing’s like a giant battle to see who can out-melodramatize the other.  Lyrics are also posted after the jump.  What they have to do with GIANT F**KING ROBOTS is anyone’s guess.
