PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: ON STRANGER TIDES – You may be quick to criticize these pictures (or the existence of the film entirely) as looking exactly like the other films in the series. Then you’d look like a damned fool. They’re clearly wearing more blue in this film and Johnny Depp‘s hair is on loan from “American Idol” runner-up Crystal Bowersox.

TH GREEN LANTERN – In this very exciting picture, Green Lantern and Hector Hammond are chilling together at some kind of premiere. You can see the Lantern is about to conjure a light ball or something else cosmic between his palms. It’s weird to see Peter Sarsgaard playing the ugly guy. I guess Jackie Earle Haley was booked.

THE MUPPETS – Jason Segal and Amy Adams cut a rug. They will later wrap the rug fragments around Segal’s forearm and hot glue eyeballs to it.

The Green Hornet opens this Friday, and features Black Beauty: a tricked-out 1965 Chrysler Crown Imperial. The car looks pretty bad ass, but how does it stack up to other classic cinematic rides? Take a look at the list below and judge for yourself.

Aston Martin DB5 – Goldfinger

Bond’s Aston Martin DB5 first appeared in Goldfinger, and was featured in several subsequent films. The car is awesome on its own, but Bond’s is loaded with special features; specifically, an ejector seat. How sweet is that for dates?

Fozzie’s Studebaker – The Muppet Movie

Fozzie inherits his car from an uncle who is hibernating. At first, it’s not much to look at. But Doctor Teeth and his band give the vehicle a psychedelic makeover.

The Interceptor – Mad Max 2 / Road Warrior

If you’re known as “The Road Warrior,” you better have an awesome car to back you up. Mad Max has just that. Unfortunately, The Interceptor doesn’t make it through the film.

The Mutt Cuts ‘Shaggin Wagon’ – Dumb & Dumber

Originally designed as a vehicle for Harry’s dog cutting gig, the boys end up using it on their journey to Denver. Clearly, a car like this gets all the bitches.

Herbie – The Love Bug

I don’t really like Herbie, but the damn thing has a mind of its own, so I have to respect it. Besides, when it comes to cars that are self-aware, it’s a billion times better than Christine.

The Deathmobile – Animal House

If your goal is to destroy a small town parade, there’s no better choice than the Deathmobile. Just look at that terrifying facade and tell me you aren’t frightened.

The Bluesmobile – The Blues Brothes

The Bluesmobile is part of one of the greatest car chases in film history, and takes more abuse than any car should have to take. It even manages to hang on until the very end, before completely falling apart. RIP.

Ectomobile – The Ghostbusters

If you need to catch and transport ghosts, your Ford Focus isn’t going to cut it. You need the Ectomobile.

Batmobile – Batman Returns

I chose the Batmobile from the Tim Burton films. That’s not a slight against the Nolan films, since the Tumbler is awesome. But Burton’s version actually looks like the classic Batmobile, so it edged out the competition.

The Delorean – Back to the Future

Say what you want about the Delorean’s style. Some people love it, and some people hate it. But once you factor a flux capacitor into the mix, it becomes the coolest car around, hands down.

Zach Galifianakis, everyone’s favorite bearded comedian at the moment, is in talks to appear in the upcoming Muppet movie as a person, even though he looks a helluva lot like Fozzy Bear. Robert Downey Jr. dropped the casting news during a press interview for Due Date. That Downey. He’s incorrigable.

Galifianakis would join Jason Segel, Amy Adams, Rashida Jones, and Chris Cooper, who have all already been cast. The new film, directed by James Bobin, will "take place within a showbiz setting and follow the Muppets as they try to save their studio from a greedy oil baron (Cooper) who wants to dig for oil. Segel is set to play the lead who reunites the Muppets for one last show to save the studio; Adams is his girlfriend, while Jones will play an ABC executive." No word yet on what Galifianakis would play. Maybe a film director. It’s time he put that beard to good use. (ThePlaylist)

Disney has announced the latest installment from Kermit and the gang will hit theaters on Christmas Day, 2011, just in time for the Christ child’s birthday.

Writen by Jason Segel and directed by "Flight of the Conchords" co-creator James Bobin, the project is aimed at introducing the Muppets to a whole new generation of fans.

According to Variety, the film will be up against Steven Spielberg’s Adventures of Tintin and Cameron Crowe‘s We Bought a Zoo, both of which can kiss my ass. It’s Muppet time, bitches! Wakka Wakka Wakka!

Flight of the Conchords co-creator James Bobin has been given the go-ahead to direct Disney’s New Muppet Movie, he just has to decide if he wants to play with dolls all day. The choice could prove to be a difficult one considering Judd Apatow is also tugging on Bobin’s sleave to direct his new movie Bridemaids, written by awkward-character-playing SNL cast member Kristen Wiig. "What to do, what to do?!" screams Bobin’s conscience. 

One would think Bobin would like to dive head first in to Apatow’s bouncy castle of go-to guys, but taking the reins of a Muppet Movie written by Jason Segel and Forgetting Sarah Marshall director Nicholas Stoller could give his feature career the soft, furry kick in the pants it needs. With Bobin et al manning The Muppets, we’re sure to get something more edgy than pies in the face and spinning bowties on bears. But I’m not expecting hot pig-on-frog action either. (Vulture)
