This is officially the best Christmas in March ever. The short film Blinky™ has finally arrived. I’ve been stoked to see this ever since the teaser trailer about a boy and his murder-bot showed up online last November. But now I’m not feeling so good about it. Though it is really well-done and excellent, it’s also really bumming me out. That robot just wants to be your friend, kid. Then you go off and act like a total lady-parts and all crap busts loose.

I’m more emotionally wrecked than I was when I watched the Dead Island trailer. It’s best that I go cry in the shower now. Come fetch me when they figure out who the hell Joseph Gordon-Levitt will play in The Dark Knight Rises. (Ruairi Robinson’s Vimeo)

‘Blinky’ Teaser Trailer: I Want One!

The robot uprising is here and it looks awesome. The teaser trailer for Blinky™ (formerly known as Bad Robot) is alternately super-cute and super-creepy. Directed by Ruairi Robinson and starring Max Records, this quick glimpse looks like a mix between Wall-E and Child’s Play, and I love that it exists.

We don’t know much but we get the vibe that it’s a playful throwback to the horror of the early 90′s. Every child goes crazy for a Blinky™ robot withou knowing the machine’s dark ulterior motives. If anything, this should serve as a warning about the impending robot uprising. Chopping Mall‘s warning fell on deaf ears. Are we going to be so foolish as to ignore it twice? I’m not. ***throws Col. Hans’s iPhone against the wall***

Sam Rockwell Joins ‘The Sitter’ For Jonah Hill’s Cocaine

Sam Rockwell is in final negotiations to chase Jonah Hill all around town for his cocaine in The Sitter. David Gordon Green is directing the upcoming action-comedy about a babysitter who must evade drug dealers while taking care of three kids. It’s like Adventures in Babysitting with more booger sugar and less Elisabeth Shue.

JB Smoove, better known as Leon from "Curb Your Enthusiam," is also on board to play Rockwell’s drug dealing partner. The script by Brian Gatewood and Alessandro Tanaka is supposed to be hilarious, and I can’t imagine teaming Smoove and Rockwell together will hurt any of the scenes. The only element that might suffer is the logistics, as Jonah Hill has to run around a town all night. (ThePlaylist)
