Good to know that one of the thousand Frankenstein films in development is in able hands.
Matt Reeves wants to suck your blood again.
It’s ’8 O’Clock In The Morning’. Do you know where your Matt Reeves is?
Personally, I would prefer we had a Cloverfield in theaters every Halloween instead of the recent crop of recrudescent genre entries. Sadly that’s not the case and it looks like Cloverfield 2 may be further off than we expected.
The director's chair left vacant by David O. Russell on Pride And Prejudice And Zombies is being retro-fitted for a few more asses. Jonathan Demme, Matt Reeves, the Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs guys, and Mike White joined previously announced asses David Slade, Neil Marshall, and Mike Newell for a shot at plunking down for some on-set bad back support.
As with everything nowadays, the casting list is also uncertain now that Natalie Portman has walked from the starring role. Bradley Cooper, Scarlett Johansson, Mia Wasoshoushawkasa, Tilda Swinton, and Catherine O'Hara are all rumored for the project. It's impressive that so many big names (and Mike White) are interested in the project. I'm sure it will end up in good hands (or Mike White's). (The Wrap)
Lovers of Let The Right One In, I have some good news for you. Matt Reeves didn’t eff up the movie you cherish so dearly. In fact, he might have…
I'm not a big fan of ruining movies for myself by watching clips, but I'm glad I sucked it up and hit play on this new one for Let Me In. Now I for seriously can't wait to check out this film at Fantastic Fest. I know a few of you out there are pissed that they remade the Swedish version, but c'mon, it's got Richard Jenkins in it. The man can do no wrong. Except for Say It Isn't So, and even in that film he's covered in bees WAY better than Nic Cage ever was.
Take a look at the clip after the jump and see if it changes your skeptical mind…
Fans of jerky, POV monster movies are in for some bad news. The Cloverfield sequel isn't coming out anytime soon, according to director Matt Reeves. But despite the lack of progress, Reeves assures fans that the film is on both his and J.J. Abrams' to do list.
"It really isn't the moment for [the sequel] to go any further than it has, but it continues to be a priority for both of us," Reeves told the channel. "J.J. is very immersed in putting together 'Super 8.' He's in pre-production and really, really passionately getting that together. And I'm passionately finishing 'Let Me In.'"
You know what I'm passionately finishing? Putting up with your B.S., Matt Reeves! Make a Cloverfield sequel now, or so help me god, I will tear you apart on my personal blog like that monster tore apart the Statue of Liberty. The choice is yours. (Empire Online)
Sweet stache, Elias!
Finally, a Hollywood project that involves vampires.
Let Me In, directed by Cloverfield's Matt Reeves, is the story of a awkward boy who unknowingly befriends a young vampire girl. Of course by "young," I mean "young looking." She's probably hundreds of years old since she's a goddamn vampire.
At any rate, before too long, people end up getting drained of their blood, the local law enforcement starts to take notice, and this kid realizes his new friend is a monster. I'm sure it ends with the two of them being elected king and queen at the big middle school dance.
If you like the vampire genre, you'll probably like this. If not, you'll still be able to enjoy Elias Koteas with a mustache, which looks awesome.

Director: Matt ReevesCast: Chloe Moretz, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Richard JenkinsSynopsis: A bullied young boy befriends a young female vampire who lives in secrecy with her guardian.Release Date: October 1, 2010
Chloe Moretz is back as another bloodthirsty tween in this teaser for Matt Reeves' Let The Right One In remake, Let Me In. Kodi Smit-McPhee stars as a bullied boy who befriends his new neighbor, a vampire child who keeps busy by eating members of the community. That's definitely a dick move, but not as bad as my neighbor who keeps stealing my parking space. That jerk deserves to be staked. LOOKS PRETTY SOLID TO ME. CHECK IT OUT AFTER THE JUMP AND LET US KNOW WHAT YOU THINK…
I don't feel all that comfortable sharing pictures of children on the Internet, but I am only here to serve and people have been eager to get a look at Matt Reeves' Let Me In. Though, for my own piece of mind, I'd like to ask that all perverts direct their lustfull eyeballs elsewhere and not at these first pics from the maligned remake of Let The Right One In. If you're willing to view responsibly, you can get a better look at Kick-Ass's Chloe Moretz as Abby the vampire girl and Kodi Smit-McPhee as her new friend Owen, in the pictures after the jump. And please sign the guestbook.
