The X-Men: First Class director is looking to re-team with Kick-Ass creator Mark Millar for adaptations of two of his works. First is The Secret Service, a comic that Vaughn and Millar just unveiled along with Watchmen artist Dave Gibbons. They’re mum on the plot details for that one though Vaughn holds the film rights. The second project in the works is Superior. Based on Millar’s 90′s comic, the story centers on a handicapped boy who is offered superpowers by an alien monkey. However, the deal comes at a price.

Handicapped kids really need to be more careful when bartering with alien monkeys. The fate of the planet hangs in the balance of their choices. (via The Playlist)

His latest, Nemesis, about a billionaire who uses his money and influence for extreme evil, has found a potential director in Tony Scott, and a writer in Matthew Carnahan (State of Play, Lions For Lambs).  The film should have an interesting journey from page to screen, as it features murdered cops, presidential bombings, and attacks on the Pentagon. And by interesting I mean dear-god-this-is-going-to-be-a-hard-sell-to-studios. I can only imagine what Sony would say, who removed images of the World Trade Center from  Spiderman, and non-offensive images to boot. We can’t be sure what they’d have to say about a bomb being hurled at the president, but chances are they might request a “script polish.” (Slashfilm)

 The red band trailer for Kick-Ass certainly lives up to its name by showcasing Chloe Moretz‘s foul-mouthed Hit Girl as she kicks every ass in sight. More specifically, she shoots a dude through his cheek, cuts off a Malcom Jamal Warner lookalike’s leg, and drops the "C" bomb on a room full of thugs. Now I’m all kinds of homesick. Seeing such a young girl growl the "C" word really makes me miss my nieces.
