Meet Colin Furze. Colin Furze is an excitable young man, and an inventor. Having taken a cue from sometimes-villain Magneto in Marvel’s X-Men saga, Colin has made himself a pair of magnetic boots that allow him to clumsily walk across his own ceiling without yet killing himself.

Take a look at what Colin’s done, then mock him, then realize that he has actually invented something that let’s you WALK ON CEILINGS. Then feel bad for having even thought about mocking him.

In two years, this guy will be lifting stadiums out of the ground.

“Welcome to my Crazy Room,” younger Magneto (Michael Fassbender) tells a hot lady mutant behind him, off camera. “Would you like to see my collection of expensive, metal wall plate thingies?”

That’s what I’m guessing is going on in this new preview picture from X-Men: First Class. According to a mind-alert from Professor Xavier, we should be getting the trailer any day now. This is yet another single frame to satisfy our need for this trailer, which is greater than Beast’s need to prove he’s the smartest guy in the room.

Actually, there have been so many single images released at this point, I think we could actually print them all out and see the entire movie in flip book format. If the dialogue is anything like the stuff we heard in X3, a mute version would probably be for the best. Bigger version below… (Empire)

‘Magneto’ Must Die so that “X-Men: First Class’ May Live http://www.screenjunkies.com/movies/movie-news/magneto-must-die-so-that-x-men-first-class-may-live/ http://www.screenjunkies.com/movies/movie-news/magneto-must-die-so-that-x-men-first-class-may-live/#comments Thu, 26 Aug 2010 10:04:45 +0000 Reza F. Good news for people who dislike Jews, homosexuals, acclaimed British actors, and magnets. Bad news for the rest of us. X-Men Origins: Magneto probably ain't gonna happen. During an interview with Crave Online, Producer Lauren Shuler Donner confirmed that hope for a freestanding Magneto film is all but gone, and that the origin story of the character will be folded into Bryan Singer's X-Men: First Class. "You know, there’s internal discussions but probably not. It kind of got incorporated into (X-Men: First Class), a lot of it.” While the fact that Magneto's origin will be covered by First Class might appease some, Ian McKellen fans are, as /Film put it, "shit out of luck."

I'm so clever!Michael Fassbender has been confirmed as Magneto in Fox’s upcoming prequel, X-Men: First Class. Fassbender will star along side James McAvoy who is already cast to play a young Charles Xavier. For those of you who don't know, Magneto (a.k.a. Eric Lensherr) was not always a villain, and was once good friends with Xavier. However, after a tragic fraternity hazing mishap involving a broom handle left Xavier confined to a wheel chair, the two became bitter rivals. (Cinema Blend)

David Goyer says ‘FlashForward’ Will Move Story Forward; ‘Magneto’ Still Alive http://www.screenjunkies.com/tv/tv-news/david-goyer-says-flashforward-will-move-story-forward;-magneto-still-alive/ http://www.screenjunkies.com/tv/tv-news/david-goyer-says-flashforward-will-move-story-forward;-magneto-still-alive/#comments Wed, 30 Nov -0001 00:00:00 +0000 That compelling storyline is comin' right for us!If you've been devotedly watching FlashForward recently and wishing there wasn't so much lag time in between the juicy, brain-wrinkling turn of events, then get ready to be happy. Screen Junkies got the opportunity to sit down with the show's creator and executive producer David Goyer, and he told us FlashForward is cramming a ton more story into season one than was originally intended:By the end of the season we will have burned through what I think I was originally thinking would be the first two seasons. One thing that we’ve done is we’ve moved things forward. We certainly are responding to some of the fans saying, “Are we not moving fast enough?” So we’ve kind of been given the opportunity now to answer a lot more questions and move faster. I will say that starting with our first two hour, we answer a ton. Answers are so much less infuriating than more questions. Steeped in so much mystery, the show was starting to become as frustrating as trying to figure out where to go to dinner with a girlfriend. "I want to go wherever you want to go. Well I want to go wherever YOU want to go. That's it! We're boiling hot dogs and drinking boxed wine."David Goyer also talked about the development of his current feature projects, including the origin story of X-Men baddie Magneto. He wouldn't give up much, but when asked if Magneto was still in the works, Goyer responded, "Yes."So there you have it, folks. Magneto is definitely maybe going to be hitting theaters sometime soon/never. Let's just hope Ian McKellen is still alive to see the premiere. Celebs are droppin' like flies these days. Don't you give me the stink eye, McKellen.(Source: Fred Topel)
