So far this project is batting 1.000.

Unless HBO also starts developing new days of the week to air their original programming, something’s gotta give. The cable juggernaut announced today that it will be adding Leonardo DiCaprio‘s Beat the Reaper to its development lineup. The series, which per unofficial HBO rules, is based on a book, follows a doctor in Witness Protection, who gets tracked down and must wrestle with the demons of his former life, as a hitman for the mob.

Medical drama? Mafia drama? This show’s got something for everyone. Of course, the development timeline on this project is anyone’s guess, as HBO is absolutely brimming with projects right now. But, all other things held equal, I’m going to guess that the mafia one that was brought to them by Leonardo DiCaprio won’t be far from┬áthe┬átop of the list.

There’s no indication that DiCaprio will be acting in this series, though he was originally interested in a movie adaptation of the book. Still, though…Leonardo DiCaprio! Eh? Eh?

Yeah.

Most people would classify Juggalos, the hardcore face-painted fans of the Insane Clown Posse, as a bunch of asshats. However, the FBI now classifies them as a gang threat. According to the 2011 National Gang Threat Assessment, Juggalos have been exhibiting gang-like behavior across multiple states, committing crimes like “simple assault, personal drug use and possession, petty theft and vandalism.” Inexplicably, the report glosses over the hate crime that is Miracles.

Magnets? Fugetaboutit!

Now that Juggalos are officially considered a gang threat, what effect, if any, will this have on the film industry, specifically, the gangster-crime genre? Only time will tell. But since I’ll probably get fired within the next six months, I don’t have a lot of time. So rather than wait around to see what happens, I decided to go back in time and filter existing gangster films through a Juggalo lens. Armed with photoshop and a poorly formatted Juggalo glossary, I came up with the following seven examples. Enjoy!
