Chloe Sevigny Joins ‘Lovelace’ As An “Exhausted” Demi Moore Bails

After proving she had the chops to tackle adult subject matter by blowing her then-boyfriend Vincent Gallo in The Brown Bunny, Chloe Sevigny has hopped aboard the Linda Lovelace biopic Lovelace, which stars Amanda Seyfried in the lead.

While the news that Sevigny will be playing a journalist in the film may first come across as disheartening, in my mind, everyone is having sex with everyone in this film, so go ahead and set your expectations to “nude,” possibly “while banging.”

The casting announcement comes just a day after Demi Moore dropped out, claiming she was “seeking professional assistance to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health,” which is probably just PR-speak for “tending to a broken heart.”

It’s all good, though. The cast still boasts Peter Sarsgaard, Hank Azaria, Adam Brody, Bobby Cannavale, Chris Noth, Sharon Stone, Juno Temple, Debi Mazar, Wes Bentley, Romeo Brown, Robert Patrick, Eric Roberts. and James Franco .

Good news for people who like Amanda Seyfried naked. E! is reporting that the starlet will have nude scenes in the upcoming biopic, Lovelace. Considering the film is about porn actress and star of Deep Throat Linda Lovelace, that really isn’t a big surprise. However, it is awesome.

“It’s going to be very risqué,” Patrick Muldoon, a producer at the film’s production company Eclectic Pictures, told the site.

He added that “Thematically, it’s talking about how abusive the porn industry was to Linda Lovelace. Yes, there’s a lot of nudity, but it’s a message movie about respecting women.”

Yeah, it’s all about respect. Now make with the boobies, chop chop.

The supporting cast seems to be something of a sausagefest, featuring Peter Sarsgaard, Sharon Stone, Juno Temple, Wes Bentley, Hank Azaria, Bobby Cannavale, Chris Noth, Robert Patrick, James Franco, Eric Roberts, Adam Brody and Demi Moore. Who would have thought that Kate Hudson‘s pregnancy would lead Amanda Seyfried to doing porn? But it’s true… sort of.

Seyfried is stepping into the role of Linda Lovelace, which was left vacant by Hudson when she made the decision to destroy her body. Lovelace tells the tale of the famed Deep Throat star who was coaxed into the world of adult movie-making by her pornographer husband, Chuck Traynor. James Franco was attached to the part, but he was lost in the casting shuffle. Peter Sarsgaard is now in talks for the role. I hope he does it in his Green Lantern makeup. He’s already got the prerequisite moustache.
