Hey guys, it turns out that the next Saw may not be the last of the Saws. That’s insane, right? Well, then Betsy Russell is insane, I guess. Here’s what the actress told the NY Post:

"Before we thought it was ending [with 'Saw 7'], the writers came up with an unbelievable idea [for 'Saw 8']," Betsy revealed to PopWrap. "It’s an amazing story that I would love to see. We want to end near the top, with our integrity intact and not letting the characters die a slow death, so to speak. But I believe in my heart that someday, somehow, ['Saw 8'] will happen."

When was the last time that a long-running horror franchise intended to wrap up the story, but the boost of 3D ticket sales caused it to continue on? In the last month, I mean. See? You can’t think of any.

Killers, staring Katherine Heigl and Ashton Kutcher, premieres June 4th, but you won’t be seeing many advanced reviews. That’s because the studio behind the film thought it was simply too awesome to be screened for critics in advance. In fact, some executives at Lionsgate felt the cinematic tour de force about a secret spy and his stupid girlfriend was so incredible that critics’ heads might explode from witnessing it.

Also, Twitter has made film critics irrelevant.

The bidding war over the rights to the Terminator franchise is over and the winner is… Pacificor? I’m sorry but I’m not familiar with their films. From Deadline Hollywood:

“Sony and Lionsgate dropped out at just under $29.5 million when it became clear that Santa Barbara-based hedge fund Pacificor was willing to pay almost any amount of money for Terminator.”

Oh. That’s why I didn’t know them. Pacificor is the debtholder that pushed Halcyon into bankruptcy in the first place. Now they’ve swooped in and traded that debt for the once lucrative franchise. I think it would be awesome if James Cameron bought them. Not so he could make another Terminator but so he could take a dump on Terminator 3 in front of director Jonathan Mostow‘s house.

No one knows what Pacificor plans to do with the rights but let’s hope it’s not to steal the technology and build their own army of machines. If robots become self-aware, there’s no telling what kind of damage they may cause.

I remember a certain movie in which Kevin Spacey decided to become a stoner.  I seem to recall it winning the Oscar for Best Picture. Well, if you want to see him partake of the ganja once more, you can… right now… in the new movie Shrink.

The flick, in which Spacey stars as a celebrity therapist who dips his own toes into the deep end, played the festival circuit earlier this year, was met with solid reviews and finally found a home at Lions Gate.  It’s available on DVD at this very moment, so before you decide to light up that bong all by your lonesome tonight… remember that your good friend Kevin Spacey is willing to hang out, too. And he can handle his sh*t.
