She was 58. After a promising start to her career, the actress succumbed to drugs and a slew of psychological problems amidst tabloid gossip. Schneider reportedly never got over the intense and raw process of shooting Bernardo Bertolucci’s Last Tango in Paris with Marlon Brando, and vowed to never film a nude scene again. Her career took a downturn after that, and her last film role was 2008′s Cliente. (AV Club)
