In HBO’s “How to Make it in America,” Lake Bell plays a twenty-something New Yorker who, as per the show’s title, is attempting to make it in America. Bell, who starred on Adult Swim‘s “Childrens Hospital” for two seasons and still occasionally makes appearances on the show, recently showed up in No Strings Attached and A Good Old Fashioned Orgy. So clearly she’s comedically oriented. Hot funny girls, man. We need more of them.

This red band trailer for Jason Sudeikis‘s next raunchy comedy, A Good Old Fashioned Orgy, gives us a pretty funny look at the movie’s dirtier scenes, but it will also show you things that can’t be unseen. Chief among them: David Koechner enjoying reverse cowgirl while dressed like a sea captain. It’s what I’d do too if I had Anchorman fame.

A whole mess on funny people are gettin’ together, and they’re all gonna bang each other in A Good Old Fashioned Orgy. Why they’re having the orgy isn’t important. They’re doing it to save a rec center or for the Red Cross, or something. What’s important is that they’re doing it. And if you’re at all familiar with contemporary comedy, you’re going to notice at least a handful of the cast.

The film boasts Jason Sudeikis, Will Forte, Lucy Punch, Leslie Bibb, Lindsay Sloane, Tyler Labine, Lake Bell and Nick Kroll as its principals. And while I can’t say I’m eager to see all of them naked, it’s a pretty crack squad of comedic actors, so let’s bust out the KY and just ask questions later.

Sony Wants To Have ‘A Good Old Fashioned Orgy’

Get ready to see some of your comedy favorites in various levels of undress. Sony has picked up the invite to a good old fashioned orgy for a late summer release. As most fictional orgies do, the cast consists of weird looking guys and drop dead gorgeous women. Jason Sudeikis, Tyler Labine, Leslie Bibb, Will Forte, Lucy Punch, Lake Bell, Michelle Borth, Martin Starr, Nick Kroll, Lindsay Sloane, Don Johnson, and David Koechner will all be sharing bodily fluids in the film.

The story centers around “a close group of 30-somethings who spend every summer weekend throwing elaborate theme parties at their friend Eric’s (Sudeikis) family home in the Hamptons. When Eric’s dad decides to sell off their summer playground, the friends agree there is only one way to have the biggest and brashest send off party a good old fashioned orgy.”

Sounds like fun but there had better be ice-cream cake. (THR)

‘Scream 4′ Offers Roles to Ashley Greene and Hayden Panettiere

I wasn’t sure if I should be looking forward to Scream 4 or not, but today comes news that at the very least, it will be fun to look at. Wes Craven has offered the lead to Ashley Greene as well as supporting roles to some other familiar faces.

Greene has been approached to play Jill, the cousin to Neve Campbell‘s Sidney. Hayden Panettiere has also been approached to play a film geek and best friend to Jill. The newest Culkin clone, Rory, may sign on as a love interest, and Lake Bell is in negotiations to play a police officer who knows Sidney from high school. Due to the secrecy of the project, the actors aren’t being told much about the film beyond their character descriptions. This is making it difficult for them to decide if they want the shoot this July, but I would think they’d be eager for the chance to work with David Arquette.

I really feel for poor Hayden, always being type-cast. But in all fairness, look at this nerdlinger:

Lake Bell Is A Friend With Benefits

We’ve held off reporting about Friends With Benefits up until now because the thought of Ashton Kutcher in a no-strings-attached sexual relationship with Natalie Portman makes our parts wither. Sadly, we’ve been put into a position where we would be remiss if we continued the embargo.

Ivan Reitman has begun to wisely throw hottie after hottie at the project, and today there’s news that the ridiculously sexy Lake Bell has joined the cast as Kutcher’s co-worker. Olivia Thirlby and Greta Gerwig have also recently become attached. Great. Ashton Kutcher surrounded by hot women. Is this a movie-version of those camera commercials he’s been doing? (Variety)

‘It’s Complicated’ Actress Lake Bell

The only thing I don’t like about Lake Bell is her name. Who names their kid after a body of water? Hippies, that’s who! River Phoenix’s parents did it and look what happened to him. He died outside of a nightclub. Let this be a lesson to all parents: don’t go chasing waterfalls. Please stick to the rivers and the lakes that you’re used to. Why did I just quote TLC? See Lake taking Meryl Streep’s Baldwin in It’s Complicated on Christmas Day.

A word from Lake: “You have to keep hobbies in L.A. Otherwise, it’s sad.”

Um, hello, Lake. What about being disillusioned? That keeps things constantly happy. And don’t you tell me otherwise!
