Battlestar Galactica’s Katee Sackhoff has joined the previously-cast Gina Carano. Beyond that, we don’t know much about the project or when Michelle Rodriguez will just join the damn thing and call it a day. (Variety)

The upcoming Batman: Year One, based on the classic Frank Miller comic of the same name, has a voice cast. Ben McKenzie will play the toon battective, Bryan Cranston will voice Pre-Commissioner Lieutenant James Gordon, Katee Sackhoff is set to play Gordon’s best gal Detective Sarah Essen, and Eliza Dushku won’t have to wear a skintight catsuit to voice Catwoman – though, you know, she probably should anyway. Warner Bros Animation is looking to unleash The Bat at this year’s Comic-Con.

You can check out two new images from the movie below, both of which seem gloomy and quite reminiscent of the comic by Frank Miller. Pretty cool, right? Here’s a quote from Timm about the project:

“The source material is surprisingly cinematic; it’s a pretty straight forward literal retelling. Mazzucchelli’s artwork is beautifully composed and we were able to refer to the comic for about 80 percent of the camera setups.”

Dreams really do come true. One minute, you’re appearing in a Twix commercial. The next, you’re on”Mad Men.” And finally, you’re starring opposite Chad Michael Murray (that’s something people dream about, right?). Welp, that’s the path Abigail Spencer is taking. Now that shooting has wrapped on Cowboys & Aliens, she’ll head down to Georgia for some good ol’ fasheened haunted hijinks. Hijinks = vomiting ghosts.

She’s signed on for The Haunting In Georgia, along with Murray, Katee Sackhoff, Emily Alyn Lind, and Cicely Tyson. The quartet will play a family who get the living “H” haunted out of them in this sequel to last year’s The Haunting In Connecticut. Spencer will play Murray’s wife, Sackhoff will play her wayward sister, and Lind plays the couple’s daughter.

The film focuses on “the chilling story of four-year-old Heidi and her imaginary friends, Mr. Gordy and Con. As Heidi reveals mysterious details about the two, her parents become concerned … could her playmates be more than make believe? When the rest of the family begins experiencing terrifying phenomena — waking with deep gashes on their bodies — it seems there’s little they can do to stop the escalating nightmare.“

In all fairness, waking up with deep gashes could also be caused by Georgian bed bugs. Have you seen the size of them suckers? (Bloody Disgusting)

The death of David Carradine grows more and more bizarre by the day. At first it was believed that the actor had committed suicide. Later it was ruled as an accidental death due to a session of auto-erotic asphyxiation gone awry. Now, the family’s lawyer is claiming that Carradine was killed by ninjas because the Kung Fu star was trying to uncover the shadowy doings of the secret society.

Wait. This is almost exactly like the plot of Mortal Kombat. Robert Carradine, Shao Kahn has challenged you to a duel. [Source=WWTDD]
