‘Piranha 3DD’ Teaser Delivers All Of Its Promises

From the looks of this teaser, Piranha 3DD is going to be more gleefully insane than expected. This time around, John Gulager directs the chlorine-adapted killer fish to a water park filled with big breasted model types. And David Hasselhoff is there. As is Ving Rhames, who now has guns for legs.

There’s so much disbelief to suspend here but I’m really having the hardest time getting past the whole hot chicks hanging out at the water park thing. I’m sure they know people who own pools.

Caution: potential Piranha 3DD Spoilers above. Also, watch out for mutant piranhas in general. Those guys are jerks.

I was not expecting to like the original Piranha 3D. I’m no horror buff, but between the over-the-top absurd violence, the naked underwater prancing and Christopher Lloyd basically dusting off Doc Brown, I was sold. Now they’re making Piranha 3DD and I’m anxious to see a trailer. Until then, I’ll just have to make do with these unauthorized set photos from Let’s Get Out of Here Blog. Turns out the writer lives near where the film is shooting in Wilmington, NC. Here you get a first look at the water park set, plus a bloody prop girl. I can tell a lot of happy summertime memories are gonna be made for the families that go to Big Wet. The film chomps into theaters November 23, 2011.

Directed by John Gulager, Piranha 3DD stars Ving Rhames, Gary Busey, Katrina Bowden, Paul Scheer and The Hoff, plus Christopher Lloyd returns. (Dread Central)

Gary Busey Joins ‘Piranha 3DD’. Better Cover Up, Ladies.

Now that he has another gigantic-toothed mouth to feed, Gary Busey is looking to up his profile. His work over the past decade to position himself as the most-likable person you’re afraid will rail off and kill you has earned him a new movie role.

A press release from The Weinstein Co. announced today that Busey is jumping into the deep end for a change with a role in Pirahnha 3DD. In the film, he’ll play a guy who hopefully emerges from the water with a piranha in his teeth. Take note, John Gulager. The public wants to see Busey turn the tables on the piranha. Anything less will be a missed opportunity. Just like in last year’s Piranha 3D when the filmmakers failed to show a skeleton riding a jet ski. Don’t be like those jerks.

The piranhas are back. Last time, they invaded a boob-filled Sprin Break. Now they’re ready to ruin a water park during the Summer. There are gonna be a lot of sad essays read for “How I Spent My Summer Vacation” day at school.

Dimension Films has announced the stars of Piranha 3DD, including Danielle Panabaker (Friday the 13th), Matt Bush (Adventureland), Chris Zylka (The Amazing Spider-Man) and David Koechner (Anchorman). Men, watch your dicks. Ladies, learn to breath underwater while doing an awesome lesbian dance. Choreography lessons start on Tuesday.

It’s directed by John Gulager (Feast), so expect the entire Gulager family to take over the movie. Production has started for the sequel, and the film opens it’s toothy-mouths in theaters November 23, 2011. Geez, can’t they make this movie and faster?

‘Piranha 3DD’ Schedules Blood, Boobs for August 2011

It’s no surprise that Piranha 3D is getting a sequel. It’s also no surprise that the sequel’s title contains a pun involving breasts (Piranha 3DD). What is surprising is the fact that the film is scheduled to hit theaters in August 2011. I know they’re not exactly going for an Oscar, but less than a year is still a pretty quick turn around time.

John Gulager (Feast) is set to direct, while Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan (Saw sequels) will pen the script. Let’s hope Melton and Dunstan are fast writers. To speed things up, might I suggest using the word "tits" instead of "breasts," the word "fish" instead of "piranha," and the symbol for "$" in place of the words "plot," "character development" and "dignity."
