It’s unknown whether or not the film would revolve around the original trio of nerds or if producers Todd Phillips and Joel Silver will find brand new people we’ve never seen before in our lives. Co-writer Michael Bacall is already at work for a treatment on the sequel which likely reads like so… “Guys drink beer… hot girls kiss one another on neck… lasers… Skrillex…” Sounds like a go picture to me. Stallone Stabs At Banter For A Change In New 'Expendables' Trailer

Though Gypsy writer Arthur Laurents recently said he won’t allow another film version to go forward, cause the last one in 1962 took a big dump on his story, reports say otherwise. Apparently Universal is mounting a new version with Streisand as the awful stage mom who sings “Everything’s Coming Up Roses,” along with Joel Silver as producer. The purported deal gives Laurents and lyricist Stephen Sondheim a big say in casting, as well as deciding on a screenwriter and director. (The Playlist)

World War IV is barely underway, but Warner Bros. just can’t help itself from jumping the gun. The studio is already planning the launch of World War X, a film "centered on a man recruited by a team of government agents to stop a terrorist from the future who is using time travel to reshape history."

As my colleague Wookie Johnson pointed out, this film smells an awful lot like Time Cop, which actually smells a lot like a Belgian hooker’s dirty panties, which smells a lot like overused cologne. I think there’s a Van Damme joke in there somewhere. (Coming Soon)
