Imagine having to stare one of your worst mistakes in the face on a daily basis. It’s an excellent motivator to ensure you don’t end up repeating it, like that time you accepted millions of dollars to let a kinda-pervish Hollywood director dress you up in tight rubber with nipples, butt cheeks, and sculpted thigh muscles.

That’s exactly what George Clooney does with the picture of himself as Batman hanging in his office. It serves as a reminder not to accept projects purely for commercial gain. It’s not like he returned the money or anything but you get the point. Now if you’ll excuse me, after looking at my driver’s license photo I need to go run sixty miles. (io9)

If the sight of Nicolas Cage being held at gunpoint tickles your ribs, then Joel Schumacher‘s Trespass looks to be the comedy of the year. In the first trailer, we see Nicolas Cage and his wife (played for some reason by Nicole Kidman) being hilariously forced to the floor against their will. Then they get kicked and pushed around and threatened with knives and guns. LOL. Move over, Bridesmaids!

Joel Schumacher is back to doing what he does best: making non-Batman movies.

He’ll return to the suspense-thriller genre with The Hive. No, it’s not a movie about giant bee people starring Arnold Schwarzenegger as he says campy phrases like, “Sorry, Honey. This is going to sting!!” It’s actually more in line with Schumacher’s past works 8MM and The Number 23. The story centers around an emergency responder who must face a killer from her past in order to save a child’s life.

But, you know what? Maybe that killer is actually a giant bee person. At no point in the Variety article does it imply otherwise. (Variety)

It’s Funny to See Nicolas Cage Being Held at Gunpoint in ‘Trespass’ http://www.screenjunkies.com/movies/movie-news/its-funny-to-see-nicolas-cage-being-held-at-gunpoint-in-trespass/ http://www.screenjunkies.com/movies/movie-news/its-funny-to-see-nicolas-cage-being-held-at-gunpoint-in-trespass/#comments Wed, 30 Nov -0001 00:00:00 +0000 HA HA HA! Just look at this hilarious picture of Nicolas Cage being held at gunpoint in Joel Schumacher's Trespass. Am I the only one who finds it funny? Maybe it's his sad little expression, or the fact that I had zero context when I first saw it, but to me, Nic Cage plus a shotgun to the face equals comedy gold! For those of you who care, the photo above comes from Entertainment Weekly, and is the first still released from the film. The plot involves Cage and Nicole Kidmann being taken hostage by four brutal men looking for money. That doesn't sound like much of a comedy, but neither did The Wicker Man remake, and that turned out to be hilarious! (Coming Soon) Watch a hilarious clip from The Wicker Man after the jump.

Nicolas Cage Won’t ‘Trespass’ with Joel Schumacher http://www.screenjunkies.com/movies/movie-news/nicolas-cage-wont-trespass-with-joel-schumacher/ http://www.screenjunkies.com/movies/movie-news/nicolas-cage-wont-trespass-with-joel-schumacher/#comments Wed, 30 Nov -0001 00:00:00 +0000 With just two weeks to go before filming begins, Nicholas Cage has pulled out of Joel Schumacher's Trespass, Deadline is reporting. Cage was to star along side Nicole Kidman, playing a husband who is kidnapped with his wife by a group of thugs looking for ransom. Cage's departure leaves Schumacher and Co. scrambling to find a suitable replacement. Liev Schreiber is rumored to be in the running. If there's one thing to be said for Cage, it's that he likes to work. And while he's made some great movies, he also churns out horrible films without blinking an eye (The Wicker Man, Ghost Rider). So if he's walking away from your project, it might be time to consider hanging up your director's helmet. See Nic Cage get his face stung off by bees after the jump...
