Here’s the list, friend-o’s.

Owen Wilson and Ben Stiller

These guys have starred in a few movies together, (Zoolander, Starsky and Hutch), but you would be amazed how many other films they’ve just appeared in together, leading me to believe that they both suffer from a cripplingly co-dependent relationship in which they break down in tears if they’re not acting with each other. Just a theory.

Beyond the aforementioned pair of movies, Stiller and Wilson have appeared in the three Meet the Parents films (God willing, there will be no fourth), The Royal Tenenbaums, two Night at the Museums, The Cable Guy, and Permanent Midnight. These guys must really like each other. Either that or they share a really, really, really lazy agent.

Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci

Yup. Goodfellas, Raging Bull, and Casino. Those were the most high-profile films for the duo, but they could almost be attributed more to Martin Scorsese than the actors. However, they’ve also teamed up in A Bronx Tale, Once Upon A Time In America, and The Good Shepherd. So while they may not have the numbers that the Stiller/Wilson tag team has, they do have a lot more credibility behind their films, even if all but The Good Shepherd are some spin on the mob genre.

Does anyone have a problem with Pesci and De Niro doing a bunch more mob movies? Anyone at all? Didn’t think so.

Well, all the fascinating weirdness and indefensible casting decisions (such as hiring the entire Travolta family) have taken their toll, Showbiz411 reports. Producer Marco Fiore has been unable to get funding for the film as promised, so the actors haven’t been paid, so the work has stopped.

Why has financing the film been so difficult?

Perhaps it’s because:

The film has John Travolta playing a mob boss.

Kim Kardashian was rumored to be involved.

As was Lindsay Lohan.

Director Nick Cassavettes walked away from the project.

As did Lindsay Lohan.

Barry Levinson then stepped in.

John Travolta cast his whole family. 

Joe Pesci was fired from the project, even after he got fat for a role. 

Hmm. It’s almost hard to believe that this production isn’t inspiring confidence in potential investors.

In the lawsuit, Pesci claims reps from Fiore Films offered him the critical role of Angelo Ruggiero, Gotti’s close friend and enforcer.  Pesci says he made a deal for $3 million.

But Pesci says after he was lured into making public statements about how happy he was to appear in the movie – which stars John Travolta as John Gotti, Jr. — the producers pulled the deal, claiming Pesci breached the deal by trying to back out.

While that is very interesting and for the courts to decide, Pesci had apparently been so sure of the arrangement that he gained 30 pounds to better represent the stocky Angelo Ruggiero. He alleges in the lawsuit that he “ended his strict and healthy diet” to gain the weight. Poor guy.

This is the first we’ve heard of Pesci’s separation from the project, which is left now with Al Pacino, every human being with the last name “Travolta,” Lindsay Lohan. What a bizarre wrap party that will be.

In the meantime, if you see a rotund gentleman crying into a giant bowl of spaghetti on the side of the road, go ask him for his autograph. It’s probably Joe Pesci.

He’s joining John Travolta, Joe Pesci, and if her luck holds out, Lindsay Lohan, with Barry Levinson directing. If you’re having trouble visualizing Pacino playing a gangster, you’ll have to wait until late 2012 to see it happen. Me, I’ll just be watching S1m0ne again. He’s so funny in that.

The grand entryway invites you into a home of comfort and luxury, and it’s perfect for smashing paint-cans into Daniel Stern’s face. And you can create your own memories in the legendary living room, like shooting Joe Pesci in the groin with a BB gun.

Of course, these pros are balanced by some potential cons. A few booby traps do still remain, so please proceed with caution. Also, the creepy old neighbor will stop by periodically looking for his son. Make no sudden movements and greet him with warmth, and it’s unlikely he will hit you with his shovel.

The producers are also reportedly in talks with someone to play John Gotti, Jr., but aren’t “ready to announce the actor” who’s getting the part. Maybe James Franco? It wouldn’t be unheard of. Nick Cassavetes is directing all the characters shouting at each other from the point of view of Gotti’s son, so it will probably be something approaching a lead role. I hope it is Franco, he needs the work. (ComingSoon)

There’s hope for Nathan Fillion yet! With a story plotted and lead cast, Uncharted is chugging right along. Oh, except now it doesn’t have a story or a cast.

Uncharted 3 video game director Justin Richmond was interviewed by Joystiq recently and provided some interesting information regarding the film. First, he refutes the reported storyline that would bring Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci in to supply the “family element.” And I don’t mean “family” in the Mafia sense. God, you guys are such racists. Here’s Richmond:

“First of all, all that stuff was denied by David O. Russell,” Richmond said. “He actually called us up and was like, ‘I don’t know what these guys are talking about.’”

Next, Joystiq drops the news that Mark Wahlberg hasn’t been cast just yet.

And Mark Wahlberg isn’t anywhere near to being confirmed to play Nathan Drake either — it’s just Hollywood scuttlebutt, apparently. Still, I dutifully told Richmond that the Joystiq Biomass had chosen, and Nathan Fillion has our vote. Message received, Richmond responded.

I haven’t played the game, so I don’t know if this news is good or not. But you wanna know what is good? Fluffernutters.

Martin Scorsese has announced that he and brother from another mother Robert DeNiro will in fact team up for The Irishman. Originally titled I Heard You Paint Houses, the movie tells the story of hitman Frank “The Irishman” Sheeran. However, Scorsese sounds a little optimistic when he says that shooting could begin in early 2011. He’s still shooting Hugo Cabret because he needed time to master the 3D technology. Also, because he’s Martin Scorsese and it takes him forever to finish anything. All’s I’m sayin’ is the crew needs a ten-hour turnaround Marty. Let’s go with Take 78 and call it a night.

Joe Pesci and Al Pacino are also rumored to join the project, which would make this the most anticipated project of 1998. What do you think? Can Scorsese make us forget about Righteous Kill? I mean the movie’s existence, not the plot. We’ve all already forgotten about that. (Digital Spy)

How many Italians does it take to make The Irishman? At least four, from what I can tell.

Deadline is reporting that Al Pacino and Joe Pesci are joining Robert De Niro for Martin Scorsese’s planned adaptation of I Heard You Paint Houses, a book chronicling the life of Frank “The Irishman” Sheeran, a reputed hitman who some suspect was behind the disappearance of Teamsters president Jimmy Hoffa.

While the film would mark the first Scorsese/De Niro collaberation since Casino (1995), chances are it won’t begin production anytime soon. Scorsese is currently working on Hugo Cabret and doing press for the HBO series, "Boardwalk Empire." The famed director is also slated to film a Frank Sinatra biopic, which would further postpone any work on The Irishman.

Personally, all this talk about Irishmen and Italians is making me a little uncomfortable. Like my grandma always said, the only people worth a good god damn come from eastern Bulgaria. It’s our world, and you punks are just living in it. International calling code 395 4 life, bitch! (Collider)

The trailer for Taylor Hackford’s Love Ranch has scratched, tickled, and hit the web. In it, Helen Mirren and Joe Pesci portray the real life couple that started the first legal brothel in Nevada.

Needless to say, there are prostitutes in this film, gentlemen, and you better believe at some point Pesci teaches them some respect. Will it be Gina Gershon, Bai Ling, Scout Taylor-Compton, or Taryn Manning who is subject to the little man’s wrath? Considering Manning has already done the whole "lady of the night thing" before in Hustle & Flow she’s probably the most resilient. But don’t get too cocky, Taryn. Pesci lays down pimp law a lot harder than Terrence Howard. I have the bruises to prove it.
