Why? Because Will Ferrell and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer look the same. Or similar. But when they were dressed up in the same outfit last night for The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, they looked downright identical.

After the drum-off, the verdict is in: Smith is a better drummer, and Ferrell is funnier.

Glad we were abel to sort that out. The video itself is actually pretty funny, so enjoy.

While the Tom Petty duet with Stevie Nicks isn’t among the 80′s most iconic videos, it’s a video that has music, therefore Jimmy Fallon must parody it. What’s most interesting about this “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around” video isn’t that it’s funny or particularly good. It’s not really much of either.

But it continues to demonstrate HOW MUCH Jimmy Fallon loves dressing up and mimicking other rockers on both his previous show and on Tonight.

Ok. Stevie Nicks is pretty badass in this.

Jimmy Fallon made his premiere as the Tonight Show host last night. Unsurprisingly, quite a few stops were pulled out last night. Would I dare say they pulled out “all” the stops?

No. I wouldn’t.

But they did get a bunch of people who are always appearing in all sorts of crap. Namely, Robert De Niro, Joan Rivers, Kim Kardashian, Lindsay Lohan, Mariah Carey, and Rudy Giuliani all swung by. It’s like what my fantasy dinner party would be like, only the total opposite.

To be fair, Stephen Colbert, Tina Fey, and Seth Rogen also made appearances, but mentioning them above would have torpedoed my little joke.

Take a look and just imagine if he can keep this sort of prestige up for the next 25 years or so. That would be impressive!

Two excellent choices. The audience was deemed the winner.

That’s right. It’s the end of an era. No more headlines, no more Jaywalking, no more making fun of Kevin Eubanks virginity, night after night after night. It all ends tonight as Jay Leno steps down from the Tonight Show after a rockier-than-usual couple of years.

And up comes The Roots featuring Jimmy Fallon, allowing Leno to return to his original loves of cars and wearing denim shirts with jeans.

Fallon doesn’t step up for a couple weeks, so maybe we’ll be in for a treat with some vintage Leno in which he makes Bobbitt and Lance Ito jokes while making jokes about how much money Bill Gates has.

Goodbye, old friend.

It’s been a nearly universal opinion that since the Tonight Show debacle with Conan O’Brien, the underlying problem with NBC’s late night schedule is that they simply haven’t tinkered with it enough. Well, always ones to nip perceived problems in the bud, NBC has gotten out their Bob the Builder hats and coveralls and is contemplating a massive overhaul that would put Jimmy Fallon in the Tonight Show spot, have Howard Stern move into the Late Night spot vacated spot, thus freeing up Leno to either take over Stern’s duties hosting a morning radio show, judging a singing contest, or possibly just allowing Leno the eventual freedom to throw his arms up in exasperation and allowing himself to be crushed into a cube, perhaps, after filtration, providing a few pints of clean drinking water for underprivileged Ecuadoran families.

Only time will tell.

ABC is standing by their Jimmy. The network has backed out of negotiations with Late Night with Jimmy Fallon host, Jimmy Fallon (Late Night with Jimmy Fallon) due to his direct rivalry with their own Jimmy Kimmel of Jimmy Kimmel Live fame. Either that or they saw those Capitol One ads that I want to punch.

So, the hunt for a non-Billy Crystal host continues. Just not Carson Daly. Okay, guys? Agreed? (The LA Times)

I don’t want to get all political here, because I know about 88% of you skew heavily to the right, but this story is newsworthy and important, so allow me to present it objectively with minimal commentary.

The Roots, who have always had a sense of humor about the intro music for guests on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, welcomed GOP candidate/person-to-be-taken-seriously Michelle Bachmann onto the show by performing an instrumental version of Fishbone’s “Lyin’ Ass Bitch.”

I’m guessing that, since that song is 26 years old and very obscure, it wasn’t a coincidence.

So…is this worse than the time they played out Spencer and Heidi to Beck’s “Loser” or Joe Jackson’s “Is She Really Going Out With Him?” for Jessica Biel (cause she was dating JT, ya see)?

What a dumb rhetorical question. Yeah, this is worse. Though the “Loser” intro gives it a run for its money.

Is it really, really funny?

Families across America shouldn’t be subjected to that word.

USA values preclude such a deragatory term being bandied about.

Can’t we find a more adult level of discourse?

Knowing that this is where we are as a country saddens me.

You have to decide that for yourself.

Everyone has a different opinion, all of which are equally valid.

Surely you can find another avenue for political commentary.

It would appear that, after hours and hours spent away from their loving families, NBC execs finally answered the question, “How do we save this network?” And the answer is: “I dunno. Jimmy Fallon?”

The network announced today that Jimmy Fallon has sold three scripts to the fledgling channel, and the list reads like a bit of a late-night skit itself.

First up is DILFs, about 30-something dads that don’t feel grown up enough to parent but attempt to juggle the responsibilities with their immaturity. Also, judging by the title, someone would like to f#ck these dads.

Secondly is Fat Rob, a comedy focused on a former rap star who juggles his celebrity with his family life. I can’t wait to for this to get greenlit so I can get myself an ironic Fat Rob t-shirt. How crazy would it be if they paired him up with an uptight white guy? That’s right. Infinity crazy.

Thirdly is a script for Rick, a show focusing on a “lovable doofus” who is the step-dad to a man the same age he is. This premise sounds pretty funny, but the network’s phrase “lovable doofus” and the title Rick both send shivers down my spine.

Will these shows save NBC? Probably not on their own, but I’m gonna watch the shit out of Fat Rob.

Enough Jimmy Fallon. Check out this collection of Bounce-Tastic Sofia Vergara Gifs.
