Above is a trailer for the series, and below is the brand new poster. The trailer looks good – clearly, we are in for some solid, joke-related chat. The poster I’m not so into. I find it weird that this is a show about comedians talking to each other, and none of them are facing each other in the poster. Gervais is maybe sort of looking Seinfeld, but Seinfeld is too busy looking at nothing to notice him. At least I know from the trailer that they will occasionally make eye contact while speaking. Each comic answers questions such as: “Who was the first funny kid you ever met?,” “When is it time to add new material to your act?” and “How do you know when you’ve hit on the proverbial ‘thing’ that sets you apart?,” giving quirky insights into what rocketed them to being the best in the business and at the top of their game.

Sounds interesting. Obviously it’d be better to see any one of these four actually performing instead of just talking about performing, but in a medium like television that’s usually a wasteland when it comes to stand up, I’ll take what I can get. “Talking Funny” airs Friday April 22nd at 9pm on HBO. Just when you thought Kim Kardashian couldn’t sink any lower, she goes on Facebook and harasses an 87-year-old man. And not just any 87-year old. We’re talking about Len Lesser, the guy who played Uncle Leo on "Seinfeld!"

Len Lesser called Burbank police last night after receiving a slew of calls from people who kept asking, "Are you Uncle Leo?"  The 87-year-old couldn’t take it anymore so cops came to his house.

While at Lesser’s home, an officer intercepted one of the calls and asked where the caller had found the number. As it turns out, someone posing as Kim Kardashian on Facebook posted the information, not the reality/porn star herself. However, I think it wouldn’t be a bad idea to throw Kardashain in jail until the whole thing gets sorted out, just in case.

In the meantime, Lesser should start answering his phone with "Vandelay Industries" in order to throw the callers off his trail. (TMZ)

He’s conquered television, starred on the silver screen, and surfed the internet. Now, comedian extraordinaire Jerry Seinfeld has set his sites on Broadway….off Broadway, to be exact.

Seinfeld will direct "Long Story Short," a comedic monologue by SNL alum Colin Quinn. The play explores "2,000 years of human civilization and the rise and fall of its great empires, stretching from ancient Rome to Walmart." It is hoped that Seinfeld’s name recognition will translate to ticket sales. Most Off Broadway shows close after only a week, sending the vanquished cast members back home to flyover country with their pathetic hopes of stardom dashed.

This is not Seinfeld’s first encounter with the Great White Way. In 1998, he closed out his old stand-up routine with a limited run entitled, "I’m Telling You For The Last Time." In addition, Monk‘s Coffee Shop, the fictitious hangout for the "Seinfeld" characters, is located at West 112th Street and Broadway. Not too bad for a guy whose only knowledge of high culture comes from Bugs Bunny cartoons. (Variety)

Though he’s always been opposed, Larry David is finally caving and doing a Seinfeld reunion — on the new season of Curb Your Enthusiasm. The fictional reunion will be the through-line of season seven with the original cast all appearing as themselves. Recently at the TCA press tour, David told critics what they can expect to see of the reunion. "You won’t see the entire show. You’ll see parts of the show. You’ll get an idea of what happened (to the ‘Seinfeld’ characters) 11 years later."  The series returns on September 20th and I personally am very excited to see what happens if Kramer is locked in a room with Leon or Crazy Eyez Killah.
