Though we aren’t shown any imagery of horses firing weapons at one another, the full-length War Horse trailer looks pretty good. The Steven Spielberg film tells the story of Joey, a horse purchased for World War I combat, and his owner as he joins the war in an effort to reclaim his horse. What the hell? I don’t understand. Did the animal eat something that was important to him? Why is he so attached to that thing? Somebody’s got to teach that kid how commerce works.

We can find out for sure when the film is released on Christmas Day.

Finally, an actor who runs around more than Tom Cruise.

The teaser trailer for Steven Spielberg‘s War Horse is finally here and it’s as lush and sweeping as you’d expect. Here we see the titular horse run through epic WWI battles and the lives he encounters throughout the warfare. But the story isn’t just a horse running through explosions though that would be pretty metal. It’s actually about a young man named Albert and his horse, Joey, who in taken from him and sold to the cavalry. Albert is too young to enlist but still heads to France to save his four-legged friend. Just like when the dealership took back my Kia. I almost went the next town over to retrieve it.

Helena Bonham Carter And Jeremy Irvine In Talks For ‘Great Expectations’ – Guess Who Would Play Who

Author Charles Dickens is apparently dining with the right Hollywood producers, since not only is his novel Great Expectations featuring prominently in the upcoming Mr. Pip, but it’s getting turned into a movie on its own as well. And the filmmakers (including director Mike Newell) are reportedly trying to get two ringers to play two of the main characters: Jeremy Irvine (War Horse) to play the lead character of Pip, and Helena Bonham Carter to play, who else, the creepy old lady Miss Havisham.

If we’re going to have another Great Expectations movie, and it’s been a while, so I guess we’re due for one, these casting choices seem pretty solid, especially Carter as Miss Havisham. So I hope these ideas go through – you might say I have great expectations for these two to be cast in the movie. You might say that. (Variety)
