Yesterday, NBC picked up a bunch of girlie shows for girlie girls. Today it’s all about odd dramas, or “oddmas” as I call them. I’m sure that term’s gonna catch on.

“The Playboy Club” will put on rabbit ears and pretend-flirt with you. Chad Hodge’s series stars Eddie Cibrian and Amber Heard, and will explore the sexy world of 1960s Playboy bunnies. Va-va-voom or va-va-blatant”Mad Men“-rip-off? We’ll soon find out.

Is the Big Bag Wolf bad enough to mess with the police? “Grimm” is a cop drama that takes place in a world where fairy tale characters are real. This sounds an awful lot like the graphic novel series Fables, so if you like that premise, definitely read Fables, so you can complain about how much better Fables is.

Finally, I’ve been lying awake at night for years wondering when somebody would make a police procedural with a “Sliders” twist. Now it’s happening and I can finally sleep. “Awake” stars Jason Isaacs as a detective who has an accident, causing his life to split into two realities: one where his wife dies and his son lives, and the other where his wife lives but his son dies. He should just hop to the universe where the sky rains donuts. “Awake” is showrunner <a href="http://www.screenjunkies.com/movies/movie-news/no-24-movie-for-you/” target=”_blank”>Howard Gordon‘s follow-up to “24.”

UPDATE: In a win for internet haters, the much maligned “Wonder Woman” series was not picked up. David E. Kelley‘s invisible jet has been shot down. Hopefully, this will leave Adrianne Palicki free to wear sexier, less-outrage provoking outfits in the future.
The star of 'Taken' may not be back to reprise his role in 'Taken 2'. Maybe sequel co-writer/producer Luc Besson will kidnap Liam Neeson's daughter until he says "yes?"

<img class="alignright size-full wp-image-202071" style="margin-left: 7px; margin-right: 7px;" title="liam-neeson-taken” src=”http://www.screenjunkies.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/175990.jpg” alt=”" width=”300″ height=”225″ />Looks like the star of Taken may not be back to reprise his role in Taken 2. Maybe sequel co-writer/producer Luc Besson will kidnap Liam Neeson‘s daughter until he says “yes?” Of course, the joke would be on him, since Neeson only has sons.

Besson has been putting together the sequel to the hit ex-CIA agent vs. the French Underworld drama, and he’s currently talking to Best Last Name Ever Award Winner Olivier Megaton (Transporter 3) about directing it. However, Besson wants to shoot Taken 2 this year, while forgettable Jedi Neeson wants to take the year off for personal reasons. Can you do a sequel without the lead from the original? Besson is willing to try: his list of possible replacements to play Bryan Mills (or a character very, very similar) includes Ralph Fiennes, Mickey Rourke, and Jason Isaacs.

Faced with replacing Neeson with “The Ram,” Besson recently went back to Neeson and the two are currently trying to work out a shooting schedule for late this year, but nothing is confirmed yet. (Deadline)

UPDATE: My hostage plan worked, I assume. Liam Neeson just officially signed on for Taken 2. Neeson will get some time off before dealing with more stuff getting taken – the sequel starts filming late 2011 / early 2012.
