That might be a bit of an assumption, but considering her last two major gigs have involved costumes from another century, it can’t be too far-fetched an observation. Grainger plays the subtly sensual Lucrezia Borgia on the upcoming Showtime series “The Borgias,” a role that places her in the midst of 15th century Italy, surrounded by wealth and extravegance and intrigue. Before that, she appeared alongside Mia Wasikowska in Jane Eyre, frilly bonnet and all.
