<description><![CDATA[The budget negotiations are going to be brutal.]]></description>
			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The long-developing <a href="http://www.screenjunkies.com/movies/genres-movies/gangster/goodfellas-quotes-2/" target="_blank"><em>GoodFellas</em></a> <a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/tag/television/' class='linkify' target='_blank'>television</a> <a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/tag/series/' class='linkify' target='_blank'>series</a> has found a place to lay low and keep its nose clean for awhile. How fitting that it&#8217;s been picked by <a href="http://www.screenjunkies.com/movies/movie-lists/5-amc-shows-that-are-better-than-all-other-television-combined/" target="_blank">AMC</a>, basic <a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/tag/cable/' class='linkify' target='_blank'>cable</a>&#8216;s new home for awesome <a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/tag/gore/' class='linkify' target='_blank'>gore</a> and <a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/tag/violence/' class='linkify' target='_blank'>violence</a>. The <a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/tag/tv-series/' class='linkify' target='_blank'>TV series</a> based off <a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/tag/martin-506/' class='linkify' target='_blank'>Martin</a> Scorsese&#8217;s <a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/tag/classic/' class='linkify' target='_blank'>classic</a> film will be produced by Scorsese and the film&#8217;s original producer Irwin Winkler. Plot details haven&#8217;t been revealed yet, but earlier pitches <a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/tag/saw-243/' class='linkify' target='_blank'>saw</a> the action following Henry Hill while in the witness protection program. We&#8217;ll let you know when <em>Sopranos</em> supporting players are cast.</p>
<p>I  fear for <a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/tag/amc-131/' class='linkify' target='_blank'>AMC</a> on this one. If they try to mess with the show&#8217;s production budget like they have with <em>The Walking Dead</em> and <em>Breaking Bad</em>, it&#8217;s likely they&#8217;ll end up with their hands chopped off. Or in a shallow grave if they&#8217;re lucky. <description><![CDATA[In honor of Elin Nordegren tearing down a mansion.]]></description>
<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>It might be time to Occupy Florida. </p>
<p><a href="http://www.screenjunkies.com/movies/movie-news/guy-who-threw-hot-dog-at-tiger-woods-blames-drive/" target="_blank">Tiger Woods&#8217;</a> ex Elin Nordegren never has to worry about money again. Which is pretty obvious seeing as she decided to tear down her $12.3 million Palm Beach mansion in order to build a new mansion. A better <a href="http://www.screenjunkies.com/movies/movie-news/guillermo-del-toro-develops-disneys-haunted-mansion/" target="_blank">mansion</a>.</p>
<p>There&#8217;s a saying that no man should have no home while one man has two. Elin Nordegren has just wiped her bum with that phrase. Then she used a hundred dollar bill to light it on fire. Then she threw the whole thing on a briefcase full of cash. Though this should come as no surprise. People do crazy things with money all of the time. I&#8217;m just concerned what effect this will have on the <a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/tag/hip-hop/' class='linkify' target='_blank'>hip hop</a> <a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/tag/community-67/' class='linkify' target='_blank'>community</a>.</p>
<p>Below you&#8217;ll find the most outrageous purchases made in movies. Why? Cause we&#8217;re staying relevant, damn it!</p>
<h4>Robot &#8211; <em>Rocky IV</em></h4>
<p><a href="http://cdn2.screenjunkies.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/rocky.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-241688" title="rocky" src="http://cdn2.screenjunkies.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/rocky.jpg" alt="" width="450" height="212" /></a></p>
<p>You know you&#8217;ve arrived when you can afford to own a robot&#8230; in the <a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/tag/1980s/' class='linkify' target='_blank'>1980&#8242;s</a>. That&#8217;s exactly what <a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/tag/rocky-833/' class='linkify' target='_blank'>Rocky</a> Balboa did after becoming the boxing world champion. The robot was a present from Rocky to his brother-in-law Paulie who used it to fetch him beers and birthday cake. However, there&#8217;s a small camp that suspect Paulie of using the robotic butler for more lustful needs. He does at one point refer to it as &#8220;his girl.&#8221;</p>
<h4>Mink Coats &#8211; <em>Goodfellas</em></h4>
<p><a href="http://cdn2.screenjunkies.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/goodfellas.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-241685" title="goodfellas" src="http://cdn2.screenjunkies.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/goodfellas.jpg" alt="" width="450" height="249" /></a></p>
<p>There&#8217;s only one rule after pulling off a huge score &#8212; don&#8217;t buy anything. What did I say? Don&#8217;t buy anything. DON&#8217;T BUY ANYTHING!! <a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/tag/robert-de-niro-222/' class='linkify' target='_blank'>Robert De Niro</a>&#8216;s underlings ignored this memo in <em>Goodfellas</em>. After pulling off the Lufthansa Heist from <a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/tag/jfk/' class='linkify' target='_blank'>JFK</a> Airport, everyone is instructed to lay low. Don&#8217;t make any large purchases or receive any generous gifts. This instruction is made irrelevant by the immediate purchases of pink Coup De Villes and mink coats.</p>

		<description><![CDATA[Magnets? Fugetaboutit!]]></description>
<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Most people would classify <a href="http://www.screenjunkies.com/movies/movie-news/john-goodman-is-a-juggalo/" target="_blank">Juggalos</a>, the <a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/tag/hardcore/' class='linkify' target='_blank'>hardcore</a> face-painted fans of the <a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/tag/insane-clown-posse-862/' class='linkify' target='_blank'>Insane Clown Posse</a>, as a bunch of asshats. However, the <a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/tag/fbi/' class='linkify' target='_blank'>FBI</a> now classifies them as <a href="http://www.screenjunkies.com/movies/movie-lists/in-honor-of-whitey-bulgers-arrest-11-classic-depictions-of-gangsters-in-cinema/" target="_blank">a gang</a> threat. According to the 2011 National Gang Threat Assessment, Juggalos have been exhibiting gang-like behavior across multiple states, committing crimes like &#8220;<a href="http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/fbi-classifies-juggalos-as-gang-threat-20111103" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">simple assault, personal drug use and possession, petty theft and vandalism.</a>&#8221; Inexplicably, the report glosses over the hate <a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/tag/crime/' class='linkify' target='_blank'>crime</a> that is <em>Miracles</em>.</p>
<p>Magnets? Fugetaboutit!</p>
<p>Now that Juggalos are officially considered a gang threat, what effect, if any, will this have on the film industry, specifically, the gangster-crime genre? Only time will tell. But since I&#8217;ll probably get <a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/tag/fired-472/' class='linkify' target='_blank'>fired</a> within the next six months, I don&#8217;t have a lot of time. So rather than wait around to see what happens, I decided to go back <a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/movies/films/in-time' target='_blank'>in time</a> and filter existing <a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/tag/gangsta/' class='linkify' target='_blank'>gangster</a> films through a <a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/tag/juggalo-635/' class='linkify' target='_blank'>Juggalo</a> lens. Armed with <a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/tag/photoshop/' class='linkify' target='_blank'>photoshop</a> and a poorly formatted <a href="http://www.myspace.com/ashleykain/blog/222410307" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Juggalo glossary</a>, I came up with the following seven examples. Enjoy!</p>

<description><![CDATA[Did you know that a baseball bat can be used as a weapon? You did? Shit. Well, so can these other weird things.]]></description>
<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The nice thing about Movies is that they’re not bound by convention. I look at the jum <a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/movies/films/drive' target='_blank'>drive</a> sticking out of my computer, and I say to myself, “Penn, that jump <a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/tag/drive-979/' class='linkify' target='_blank'>drive</a> should not be jammed into someone’s eye socket.”</p>
<p>However, Wesley Snipes’ character in the <em><a href="http://www.screenjunkies.com/movies/movie-lists/7-celebrities-who-have-done-hard-time/" target="_blank">Passenger 57</a></em> sequel (it will happen, I swear to you) would look at that jump drive and say to himself, “That jump drive needs to be jammed in the eye of the corrupt internal affairs agent. I don’t care if it has all my tax return info on it.”</p>
<p>And that’s why movies rule. I don’t fight as much as I’d like to, but I have been raised to believe that if I did, I would only use my hands, legs, and possibly a bottle or knife. Movies have superseded that presumption with the knowledge that pretty much any object in the world can be turned into a <a href="http://www.screenjunkies.com/movies/genres-movies/drama/packing-heat-guns-in-movies/" target="_blank">weapon</a> if you hit someone hard enough with it.</p>
<p>And that brings us to where we are right now, a list of the most awesome makeshift weapons in film.</p>
<h4>9. Chainsaw &#8211; <em>Evil Dead II</em></h4>
<p><iframe src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/IGyCXvzmdYc" frameborder="0" width="480" height="<a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/tag/360-845/' class='linkify' target='_blank'>360</a>&#8220;></iframe><br />
While a chainsaw is a pretty conventiona <a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/movies/films/weapon' target='_blank'>weapon</a>, it&#8217;s decidedly less so when permanently affixed to one&#8217;s arm, as Ash does in <a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/tag/the-evil-dead/' class='linkify' target='_blank'>the Evil Dead</a> franchise. I&#8217;ve tried to convince my gardener to do this same thing, but he keeps going on and on about how difficult it would be to hug his kids with a chainsaw attached to one arm. I wish he knew how little I cared about how he hugs his kids.</p>
<h4>8. Dildo – <em>Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels</em></h4>
<p><iframe src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/naGOZoHxA-I" frameborder="0" width="480" height="360"></iframe><br />
This is supposed to be a device for pleasure, not pain.</p>
<p>In <em>Lock, Stock</em>, Hatchet Harry, in a fit of rage…you know what? Let’s allow Jason Statham’s character Bacon tell the story. It helps if you really imagine it in Statham’s voice:</p>
<blockquote><p>“Harry didn&#8217;t think that he did a very good job, so he grabbed the nearest thing to hand, which just so happened to be a 15 inch blac <a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/movies/films/rubber' target='_blank'>rubber</a> cock, and proceeded to beat poor old Smithy to death with.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>Being beaten with a big black dildo sounds like not only a painful way to go, but an undignified one at that. If I’m to meet my maker at the hands of a pornographer, I pray he uses a Fleshlight.</p>
<h4>7. 2&#215;4 – <em>Walking Tall</em></h4>
<p><iframe src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/nt-y_2lNgw0" frameborder="0" width="480" height="270"></iframe><br />
In both the 1973 original and the 2004 remake, the protagonist sheriff asserts control over a town with only a big-stick in tow. More specifically, that stick is a 2&#215;4, and that protagonist sheriff is modeled after Sheriff Buford Pusser, who actually did fight crime and corruption with a giant stick.</p>
<p>However, if you’re as big as <a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/tag/the-rock-106/' class='linkify' target='_blank'>The Rock</a> is, whether or not you have a giant stick is kind of a rounding error.</p>
<p><a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/tag/cheers/' class='linkify' target='_blank'>Cheers</a> for the simplicity of the <a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/tag/weapon-385/' class='linkify' target='_blank'>weapon</a>, jeers for those annoying blisters and splinters.</p>

The closest I ever want to get to Martin Scorsese&#039;s face.

Got some more info about that Goodfellas television series that&#039;s being made for $ome rea$on. It&#039;s now reported that Martin Scorsese will be involved in some way or another. It seems like producers got worried by the backlash to the news and decided they needed Martin&#039;s stamp on this. Whether he&#039;ll write, produce, direct, or show up on set to sign-out walkie talkies is unclear at this point.
Also of note is that the show will be a prequel to the classic film, focusing on Henry Hill&#039;s childhood years. So it will be like &#34;Brooklyn Bridge&#34; but instead of whimsical accounts of playing stickball on Front Street and Marion Ross, it will be whimsical accounts of using a broomstick to bash in the face of the neighborhood chooch. Ahhh, the old neighborhood. (via /Film)

Goodfellas: The Sneaker
Looks like &#34;Jersey Shore,&#34; &#34;Boardwalk Empire,&#34; and &#34;Cake Boss&#34; are going to have to think twice if any were hoping to be the heir apparent to the &#34;Sopranos&#34; legacy. Deadline reports today that there are plans underway for a Goodfellas television series.
Quick question, why? The original is a high watermark in the world of film, and even if the show turns out to be primo, it can&#039;t measure up to its predecessor. The only way to do this right, is a longshot. They need to cast Ray Liotta. It&#039;s not like he won&#039;t do television. His turn as Principal Luger in &#34;Hannah Montana&#34; Season Four, Episode Two &#34;Hannah Montana to the Principal&#039;s Office&#34; proved that.
