The writers of 'Cowboys & Aliens' have been hired to come up with sexy, tomb-based scenarios.

GK Films’ attempt to hunt for treasure in the long-forgotten catacombs of the Tomb Raider franchise is gaining steam. Mark Fergus and Hawk “Awesome Name” Ostby have been brought in to write the action-heavy reboot script. Best known for writing Iron Man and Cowboys & Aliens for Jon Favreau, the pair are on the rise in the world of blockbuster action films. They’ve definitely got a great track record and intriguing pedigree, so it looks as though audiences will be drooling over more than just an exposed midriff when the movie reaches theaters. To which I say, what the Hell? Why spend your budget on expensive writers and action set pieces? We both know what the target demographic is looking for in a Lara Croft film. Something like, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider: The Sudsy Car Wash, or, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider: Oops, I Dropped This Fossil would be more in order. (Deadline)

The Man's Guide To Love, a website boasting man-on-the-street video testimonials of various males explain what love means to them, is getting the big screen and book treatment.

The Man’s Guide To Love, a website boasting on-the-street video testimonials of various males explain what love means to them, is getting the big screen and book treatment. GK Films has acquired the rights to the blog by Mark Levin and Jennifer Flackett, who will write and direct the big screen adaptation. The plot concerns thre brothers living in three different metropolitan cities (NY, London, and LA), depending on each others help and support with their various relationships and romantic problems. The project is also being spun out into a book through Simon and Schuster.

Lest you think this is a case of blogger gets lucky, Levin and Flackett are actually successful screenwriters whose credits include Nim’s Island, Little Manhattan, and Journey to the Center of the Earth. The two had the website idea while they were working on the script for this very film. They’ve said that have over 2,000 testimonials recorded so far. The married couple hope that their romantic comedy will be something that women want to see, and then men they drag to the theater will enj0y seeing their POV represented as well.
