Review: Tron Legacy
Friday, December 3 by

They did it. Tron Legacy is everything you want it to be. It out Matrixes The Matrix with its special physics and gravity, and even more poignant metaphysical themes.

New ‘Tron: Legacy’ Clip: Sam Suits Up

It’s “Tron Tuesday” (Observed) and that means another look at the film. This time, we have a scene that is going to loan so much inspiration to the porn parody.

‘Tron Legacy’ Trailer #3 Seals the Deal
Tuesday, November 9 by

It’s Tron Tuesday again! That means more Tron Legacy stuff. If for some reason you weren’t itching to see Tron Legacy before, this third trailer should spark your interest. Unless you’re vehemently opposed to awesomeness.

New ‘Tron Legacy’ Clip Gets Huggy
Tuesday, November 2 by

It's "Tron Tuesday" again everyone, and you know what that means! A new Tron Legacy clip that doesn't show the really good parts that you don't want spoiled anyway! Last week we saw Olivia Wilde, who plays Quorra, taking Sam on a Light Runner ride to unknown territory. Now that territory becomes not unknown, or rather, known.
In this new clip entitled "You're Here," Sam is reunited with his father Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges), who's been going batty in a computer program for the past several decades. You know he's losing his mind because he stares off into the abyss and is dressed in all white. Only mad men and Boyz II Men dress in all white.

New ‘Tron Legacy’ Clip Introduces ‘Tron’ Car
Friday, October 29 by

Disney released this clip of Tron Legacy that shows off Tron's car. Seems like a good car! It's got new 7-speed automatic transmission for improved fuel economy and performance, standard 22-inch wheels and tires, LCD instrument display, Standard Dual Zone Automatic Temperature Control, an Advanced Blind Spot Warning (BSW) system, a 12-disc CD changer, and it kinda looks like the 1960's Batmobile humped a Skechers sneaker.
In the clip, Olivia Wilde's Quorra saves Sam Flynn from some kind of danger and the two escape by cyber-off-roading. Quick note: if you want to escape into darkness, a car traced with light may not be the ideal getaway vehicle.

Gwyneth Paltrow Is Bigger Than Jesus In ‘Country Strong’ Trailer
Friday, September 10 by

The trailer for Country Strong has strummed its way into our Internets, and I seriously think somebody needs to check out Gwyneth Paltrow's Netflix rental history. If The Blind Side and Crazy Heart are on there side-by-side, then I call shenanigans. Between the similarities to those films, and the scenes where people cry so hard they fall on their butts (I counted two), this is such an obvious ploy for an Oscar or a Grammy. In truth, they'd be lucky to get a Razzie for this. Hasn't Sandra Bullock had enough taken from her?

Comic-Con: ‘Tron Legacy’ Panel Video
Sunday, July 25 by

The first event I caught at this year's Comic-Con was the Tron Legacy panel, moderated by Patton Oswalt, a favorite comedian of mine and yours. I'm not allowed to show you the footage that was screened, although you can read my brief description in my Thursday's adventures recap, but I have video of the panel discussion. You can also check out the awesome new trailer here.
All of the actors were in attendence (for a third year in a row), including Garret Hedlund, Olivia Wilde, Michael Sheen, and Jeff Bridges, as well as director Joseph Kosinski. They enlighten us on the process of making the film, the flashy difference between Tron Legacy and Tron proper, and how Olivia kicked-ass in high heels. You really shouldn't need much more convincing to see the film when it opens on December 17, 2010.

New ‘Tron Legacy’ Trailer Is Stunning
Thursday, July 22 by

The Tron Legacy panel at Comic-Con turned nerd boner-sacks inside out with its awesomeness. For those of us who didn't meet the maximum weight requirement to attend, Disney dropped this new trailer. I haven't seen anything this sexy since the last trailer. In this one, Garret Hedlund plays Cyber-Jesus as he battles his father's Doppelganger and creations while on a mission to find his real dad. Just like me and my stepdad. You're not the king of me, Roy!!
It all looks very cool and, yes, there is a light-jet. Didn't see that one coming. Then again, I don't work for a toy manufacturer.

Who the F is Gonna Be ‘Captain America?’
Wednesday, March 10 by

"Okay, Scarlett. You're good. Fellas, could you take eighteen huge steps back?"Yesterday's reports that The Office's John Krasinski was the frontrunner to play Captain America have been debunked. Obviously. Have you seen his hair? It's clearly not cool enough. So which muscle-y jerk is gonna play this guy? The list we reported on has been whittled down and a couple of names have been added. Producers are still keen on Tron Legacy's walking haircut Garrett Hedlund, though he has yet to test for the part. Mike Vogel is joined on the list by Chris Evans and Generation Kill's Wilson Bethel (aka who?).The role was expected to be cast by March 1st and has obviously run into some problems. The options in America are pretty bland and we can't just pop an Australian in the suit like we usually do. Stan Lee has really backed us into a wall with this whole America thing. (THR)
