Gerard Butler Is Going To Kick Dennis Quaid Into A Pit

Gerard Butler’s abdominal muscles are about to give Old Man Dennis Quaid a reality check. The objects of housewife fantasies past and present will star opposite one another in Gabriele Muccino‘s Playing The Field.

In the film, known cat-milker Quaid (see photo) and Butler will play rival soccer coaches in the suburbs. There’s no word whether they will compete off the field for the affections of Uma Thurman or Jessica Biel, but it’s reported that Thurman’s character gets tingly in the pants for Gerard Butler.

Muccino is known for having directed Seven Pounds and The Pursuit Of Happyness. And while his spelling sucks, he does have at least one okay film under his belt. And Dennis Quaid likes those odds! (Blackfilm)

Jessica Biel And Uma Thurman To Star In Soccer Comedy, Will They Take Their Shirts Off?

Though I get bored watching soccer, it’d be hard for me to get bored staring at Jessica Biel and Uma Thurman. So I’m gonna call the new soccer movie Playing The Field a tie.

The film stars Gerard Butler as a pee-wee soccer coach lothario, acting as the coach to finally spend quality time with his son, but really to spend quality time with hot soccer moms. Of course, I don’t know that I’d want to date a woman who’s screaming, “put my son on the field you f*cking piece of shit! He’s way better than that waste of space Bergman. He’s picking his nose on the field, for god sake. Are you blind?” But I digress.

Thurman will play the sexy Hollywood version of a soccer mom (I guess we have Sarah Palin, but blood libels are also a turn-off), while Biel stars as Butler’s ex-wife. Playing The Field is helmed by Italian director Gabriele Muccino (The Pursuit of Happyness) and written by Robbie Fox (So I Married an Axe Murderer). The whistle will blow on filming very soon. ‘Seven Pounds’ Director Offered Equally Depressing ‘Adaline’

Both Katherine Heigl and the guy who directed Hitch (Andy Tennant) have backed out of the supernatural romance Adaline, and people are acting like that’s a bad thing for some reason. The project’s prospects have looked bleak following their departures, but producers have decided that a romantic film CAN be made without Katherine Heigl‘s involvement, so they decided not to scrap the entire project on her account.

The powers that be behind this film apparently like the way Will Smith is given direction, because they now have their eyes on the helmer of The Pursuit of Happyness and Seven Pounds, Gabriele Muccino. Adaline’s tearjerker premise could mesh well with the man behind the heavy Will Smith films. The film centers on a woman who stops aging after an accident, but considers shedding her immortality after falling in love. Breezy!

While Muccino hasn’t tipped his hand as to whether he’s interested in the gig, producers are sticking to a shooting schedule that begins in January, so they’ll probably just pick up James Franco to star as the female lead, just to keep things moving along. (Playlist)
