According to science.

Forbes decided to break out their calculators and make millionaires feel bad about themselves by comparing how much actors got paid for given movies against how much the movie eventually earned. King and Queen Loser are Eddie Murphy and Katherine Heigl.

Murphy’s films grossed $2.30 for every $1 he earned, and Heigl’s grossed $3.40 for every $1 she earned. Of course, money isn’t the true barometer of personal value. It’s also their terrible attitudes that help to determine. But it’s still good to have science backing this up.

The rest full list from Forbes:

1. Eddie Murphy ($2.30 for every $1 paid)
2. Katherine Heigl ($3.40 for every $1 paid)
3. Reese Witherspoon ($3.90 for every $1 paid)
4. Sandra Bullock ($5 for every $1 paid)
5. Jack Black ($5.20 for every $1 paid)
6. Nicolas Cage ($6 for every $1 paid)
7. Adam Sandler ($6.30 for every $1 paid)
8. Denzel Washington ($6.30 for every $1 paid)
9. Ben Stiller ($6.50 for every $1 paid)
10. Sarah Jessica Parker ($7 for every $1 paid)

They're the richest, and, therefore, the best.

The Venn diagram of this set along with the set of the 20 most obnoxious celebrities pretty much looks like just one circle.

Oprah’s leading the charge, but Michael Bay is right there with her. And, with the exception of Steven Spielberg and Tiger Woods, the list just gets worst. When Ryan Seacrest is the third most-tolerable person on a list of 20, you know it’s a bad, bad list.

What’s most annoying are the people here that haven’t seemed to do anything not only this year, but in the past decade. Like Dr. Dre. The last noteworthy thing he did was discover Eminem. Do Dr. Pepper and headphones really pay that well?

Tyler Perry? I’ve come to expect it. Donald Trump? Dr. Phil? Glenn Beck? Manny Pacquiao is an outspoken homophobe, but at least he accomplished something this year.

I wish Forbes would start hosting an event where all these people got together for dinner and mingling. I would love to be a fly on the wall for a conversation between Ryan Seacrest, Dr. Dre, and Rush Limbaugh.

Oprah Winfrey — $160 million

Michael Bay — $160 million

Steven Spielberg — $130 million

Jerry Bruckheimer — $115 million

Dr. Dre — $110 million

Tyler Perry — $105 million

Howard Stern — $95 million

James Patterson — $94 million

George Lucas — $90 million

Simon Cowell — $90 million

Glenn Beck — $80 million

Elton John — $80 million

Tom Cruise — $75 million

Dick Wolf — $70 million

Rush Limbaugh — $69 million

Manny Pacquiao — $67 million

Dr. Phil — $64 million

Donald Trump — $63 million

Ryan Seacrest — $59 million

Britney Spears — $58 million

Tiger Woods — $58 million

I can't wait to not watch!

Tyler Perry’s, the man who won Forbes title of “highest-grossing entertainer” has seven projects slated for 2012, which is pretty typical for the prolific actor/ director/ writer/ giant-black-guy-that-loves-sweaters. This is good news, as it ensures that in the coming year, we’ll be able to participate in one our favorite activities: avoiding and mocking Tyler Perry projects.

Here is a list of his projects in the upcoming year and the reasons that we won’t be watching them.

Good Deeds

If you think that the title Good Deeds isn’t a delicious pun on the lead character’s name, Wesley Deeds, then you just don’t know how TP works. The film follows a successful businessman (Deeds, played by Tyler Perry) as he helps a down on her luck woman, hoping that good deed will spark a change in his life that will allow him become the man he’s always wanted to be.

It also stars, in decreasing order of talent: Thandie Newton, Gabrielle Union, Phylicia Rashad, Rebecca Romijn, and Jamie Kennedy. The film comes out on February 24th, which gives you just enough time to shop for and install a survival shelter.

House of Payne

Make way! Curtis Payne and company are coming back to make us laugh. And if we’re not careful, we just might learn something. The TBS sitcom has actually tackled a number of heavy issues such as religion and drug abuse. Granted it tackles those issues with a heavy hand in a fashion similar to The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, but it still tackles them.

The most recent season, season 7, contained a whopping 50 episodes. You might be asking yourself, “How does Tyler Perry produce one season of television packed with 50 high-quality episodes?”

The answer is, “He doesn’t.”

Recently I reported that Forbes had crowned Simon Cowell the highest paid man on television. Now they've released a more pithy list and Will Ferrell sits at the top. Ferrell has been cited as the most overpaid actor in Hollywood based off the financial returns of his movies. This is of course due to flops like Land of the Lost and Semi Pro. An outraged Sean Penn commented, "Will Ferrell is one of our finest actors... who is willing to drop trow for laughs."Second on the list is Ewan McGregor, which is really hard to believe. Think about all the money that the Star Wars movies raked in. Not to mention Angels and Demons, Robots, Black Hawk Down, and Big Fish. Did The Island really do THAT poorly? (Forbes)
