There&#8217;s <a href="http://www.screenjunkies.com/Video/mtvs-teen-wolf-doesnt-look-annoyingcrappy/" target="_blank">&#8220;Teen Wolf&#8221;</a> and <a href="http://www.screenjunkies.com/Video/%E2%80%98red-riding-hood%E2%80%99-looks-even-%E2%80%98twilight%E2%80%99-ier-with-new-trailer/" target="_blank"><em>Red Riding Hood</em></a> and probably loads more that I&#8217;ve blocked out of my subconscious. Of course, copying the vampire or <a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/tag/werewolf/' class='linkify' target='_blank'>werewolf</a> angle wouldn&#8217;t work, would it? Which supernatural being could be subbed in&#8230;. dragons? Yep. Dragons.</p>
<p>Mandalay has hired <em>Aquamarine</em> screenwriter Nick Pustay to adapt the creatively-titled <em>Firelight</em> for the big screen. Described as <em>Twilight</em> with dragons (you don&#8217;t say!), <em>Firelight</em> tells the story of a young girl dragon who can morph into human form. She was destined to marry another dragon but her mom moved the family away to protect them. Now a teenager, she&#8217;s fallen in love with a human boy who happens to belong to a family of secret dragon hunters.</p>
<p>The only upside to this is that the fat teenagers are going to start dressing up like lizards and sunning themselves on the rocks behind Hot Topic. (<a href="http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/blogs/heat-vision/firelight-finds-writer-adapt-dragon-75067" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">THR</a>)</p>
