The hot one from Girls is making moves. Allison Williams has been cast in her feature as the lead in Rosaline. The Shawn Levy-produced film is a modern spin on Romeo and Juliet told from the perspective of the girl Romeo dated before Juliet. Ten bucks says the grief-bangs Benvolio after Romeo’s funeral.

But, we wouldn’t waste your time with news about Shakespeare only. Williams’ takeover of Hollywood doesn’t end there, as she is reportedly on the shortlist for the Fantastic Four reboot. Assumption is that she’s being looked to portray a sorta mannish Sue Storm/Invisible Woman.
Poor Jessica Alba was taken out of context, and I’m not just talking about this article’s headline.

<img title="Jessica Alba" src="http://cdn2.screenjunkies.com/wp-content/uploads/images/jessica-alba5828.jpg" alt=''s Ass" width="550" height="404" />
"Kiss my ass, screenwriters."

Poor Jessica Alba wa taken out of context, and I’m not just talking about this article’s headline.

The actress is trying to set the record straight after Elle Magazine quoted her as saying, “Good actors never use the script unless it’s amazing writing,” and “All the good actors I’ve worked with, they all say whatever they want to say.”

Ironically enough, this ruffled the feathers of John August, the screenwriter behind Charlie’s Angels. Did that film even have dialogue?

At any rate, after August criticized her comments on his blog, Alba tried to set things right with a bit of ridiculous overcompensation: “Just so it’s clear, films don’t even get made and nothing ever gets a green light unless there’s great material.”

Say what? We live in a world where someone green lit a Nazi-themed version of The Nutcracker. At least her original comments made sense, considering she starred in The Love Guru and The Fantastic Four. I’m sure no one stuck with the script on those films, mainly because half of the actors involved couldn’t read. Twentieth Century Fox is putting together a cast for their latest version of the Fantastic Four, and Bruce Willis is reportedly at the top of their list to play the Thing. But Screen Rant is reporting that Kiefer Sutherland is also in contention for the role.

Since the character will be completely CGI, whoever is cast will be utilized primarily for voice over work. However, the actor will also make an appearance early on in the film as Ben Grimm, the Thing's identity before he was transformed into a rock monster.

Personally, I'm torn between the two actors. Both are more than qualified to play a pile of rocks. However, I give the slight edge to Kiefer since he's spent a good portion of his life "stoned."

Sorry. It's been a rough weekend.
