We reported earlier about the pickup of the new sitcom “Family Album,” which has the value-added conceit of each season taking place over one family’s summer vacation. A lot of people are drawing a connection to”24,” which had each season covering 24 hours, but unlike “Family Album,” “24″ was in real time as well. Or maybe “Family Album” is going to be in real time too, and we’ll have at least 9 episodes of the kids sleeping in the car while the dad tries to find a sports talk radio station.

Anyway, Shawn Levy, director of Night at the Museum and some other garbage, has signed on to direct the pilot episode (which is about a human family, unlike one of his other projects), which will air on FOX unless they take too long during bathroom breaks and don’t make it in time.
