Just like me, Iron Man is checking his Facebook compulsively throughout the day. However, his reasoning doesn’t have to do with workplace boredom. Instead, a teaser trailer for Iron Man 3 will be released only on the condition that enough fans “like” Iron Man’s page on Facebook. As of right now, they only have 10% of the likes that Tony Stark‘s ego needs so get over there and share the love. It’s the only way to see his cute new suit.

First you saw a movie about Facebook, now you’ll be able to watch movies on Facebook! Warner Brothers has announced that they’re going to begin offering movies for rent and purchase on Facebook. Basically, by “liking” a movie being offered on Facebook, you’ll be able to rent it, which included exciting features such as pausing (wow!) and commenting (game-changer!). All of this, of course, will take place on your Facebook page.

The first movie being offered by the studio shows they aren’t interested in taking any chances – it’s the most financially successful movie in Warner Brothers history, Christopher Nolan‘s The Dark Knight. Wait – didn’t everyone already see that? Anyway, the studio will presumably be rolling out more and more movies as time goes on. Perhaps next you’ll be able to check your Facebook on the big screen at the movie theater. (via /Film)

‘The Social Network’ Script Is Online For Aspiring Screenwriters To Half-Read

All around Hollywood, wannabe screenwriters are pacing frantically down hallways to get to their Mac laptops, so they can download the PDF of the entire screenplay for Aaron Sorkin‘s much beloved drama The Social Network. Now they can rea the master writer’s words as he wrote them. These students of the craft think to themselves, “I’m ready to learn how it’s done from one of the greatest screenwriters of all-time!”

They’ll start reading the pages and pages of dialogue that they already saw in the movie, get bored around page 23 and log into the actual social network, where they’ll write on their Facebook wall about how great the screenplay is. When their quote unquote screenwriter friends see these posts, the cycle will repeat itself for a few sad days. Meanwhile, all their quirky dramedy spec scripts will spend yet another day unfinished.

And some asshole blogger will point that out and will feel kinda bad, but not really. (Deadline)

‘The Social Network’ Sticks with Timberlake Coke Party Scene

The kid stays in the picture! Of course, the "picture" in question is The Social Network, and by "kid" I mean a controversial coke party scene featuring Justin Timberlake. According to Vulture, the scene in question features Napster co-founder Sean Parker (Timberlake) at a party where two girls offer coke to guests via their naked breasts. One of the girls is only 17. Director David Fincher has decided to leave the scene in the film despite the fact that a researcher involved in the production has admitted it is almost entirely fictional.

Representatives for Facebook have taken issue with the scene as well, but are you really going to trust what they have to say? They also claim to do everything in their power to kee predators from accessing their network, but I’ve never received so much as a warning.

Good news for me and all of my demographic!! I caught wind that Scott Pilgrim vs. The World is mounting an integrated campaign via Facebook to release its new trailer sooner than expected. All that I and my fellow page impressions need to do is socially network with Scott Pilgrim’s Facebook page and click the "Like" button. Once the page accumulates 100,000 likes, the trailer will be released. NEXT LEVEL SYNERGY!!

What a cool concept that’s sure to pop with me and my unique visitor peers. What a thrilling time to be a live, human boy!!

“BLOOD SIMPLE” IS BEING REMADE IN CHINA

In the past seven years we’ve seen a glut of Asian movies remade on our shores. Some of them fantastic, others craptastic. Well, now it looks like the shoe is on the other foot. The Playlist reports that House of Flying Daggers director Zhang Yimou is remaking the Coen Brothers classic Blood Simple in his homeland of China.

I hope this does well and leads to more retreads on foreign soil because I personally would love to see a Japanese version of Goodfellas. How great would that be? All the gangsters would dress like Elvis and gesture wildly like Lenny and Squiggy.

"What’s that? You think I’m clown? I amuse you, hound dog?"

Oh my God. This film needs to be made. Somebody get Japan on the phone.
