I knew the cast of American Pie had aged, but my god, Jason Biggs has really let himself go.

In honor of the release of American Reunion, which hits theaters April 6th, we’ve put together this reenactment of the original film’s most famous scene. Only instead of an awkward teenager going to town on an apple pie, there’s an old man humping away on the titular dessert. I hope you like old-man ass, cause this clip’s got it in spades. Bonus points for the extremely elderly Eugene Levy stand in.

As we all have been dreading, American Reunion inches closer to theaters with this theatrical trailer. And you know what? It doesn’t look so bad. I was quite the cynic when I heard the news, but it turns out that I kind of sort of missed those guys.

Perhaps what distinguishes this film from American Wedding (ugh) is the fact that the nostalgia here is a lot more warranted, and the kids are all grown up. Sure, there are some contrivances, like Eugene “Caterpillars” Levy banging out Stifler’s Mom and the whole babysitter plotline, but when I hear the opening notes of “Closing Time” by Semisonic, or that familiar chorus from “Laid” by James, I’m a dumb 19 year-old again.

Also, let’s all enjoy how similar 2012 Jason Biggs looks to 1999 Jason Biggs, and marvel at how Thomas Ian Nichols seems to have aged more than the once-homeless Natasha Lyonne. Poor Thomas Ian Nichols. He peaked with Little Big League. Or Rookie of the Year. Does it really matter which one he was ACTUALLY in?

Pie F*cker and his friends are back. And this time, they’re boring and old. That should be fun to watch, right?

We’ve seen a teaser before, but this is our first look at the full cast returning for American Reunion. Where the teaser gave us a notion of the R-Rated antics we’re in store for, this trailer goes the clean route and merely points out how these actors never really rose above these roles. Who would have thought that an American Pie sequel could be such a lame attempt to cash in on name recognition?

‘Goon’ Trailer Teaches Us Hockey Is About Fighting And Little Else

Judging by its trailer, the hockey comedy Goon looks to be a strange film. It’s got all the hallmarks of comedy (slapstick, Stifler, Eugene Levy), but it doesn’t appear to be funny. In its defense, it’s not clear that the film is trying to be funny, either.

What is it about hockey comedies that aren’t funny? Slap Shot, Mystery, Alaska, and now this film.

In any event, Goon tells the story of bouncer Doug Glatt (Seann William Scott), who plays hockey as an enforcer, ruling the roost until he gets called up to the next league, where he’s outclassed by the like of Liev Schreiber‘s Ross Rhea.

They also drink a lot, and he sleeps with a girl that looks an awful lot like Zooey Deschanel, but isn’t. This is a hard movie to peg. Check out the trailer and see if you can do a better job than I can.

Take a look at the cast of the American Pie sequel, American Reunion, looking right back at you. I know you’d prefer more pastry humping, but at least these set photos prove that this thing is actually happening, for better or for worse. However, Stifler (Sean William Scott) is mysteriously absent from the glad handing. Unless he’s hiding in one of Eugene Levy‘s eyebrows. They’re quite spacious. Hell, Andy Rooney‘s eyebrows could seek shelter in them.

‘American Reunion’ To Make Your Next Spring Break More Mediocre

Scream 4, I’m sure you’re all excited to see another best-in-the-90′s franchise return to the box office. Here’s the info on American Reunion‘s release date, so you know when to avoid the latest American Pie movie. No, this one’s not going straight to DVD.

Stiffler, band camps and pie sexing will all be back in theaters April 6, 2012. The first three were Summer releases, which makes me wonder if Universal thinks this pie will be tasty enough for blockbusterdom. However, on a high note (that’s gonna be a pun – wait for it), the film is being written and directed by Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg of “Harold and Kumar” fame. (Note the word “high” earlier.)

The cast include a veritable who’s-who of actors who have nothing better going on, including Jason Biggs, Seann William Scott, Chris Klein, and American Pie All-Star Check Collector Eugene Levy. Other Pie alums are playing hard-to-get, but will almost certainly acquiesce, like Tara Reid and Mena Suvari. (TheWrap)

Sequels to American Pie are as American as freedom pie, and the next, actually-shown-in-theaters-this-time entry in the series, American Reunion, appears to actually be happening, with most of the original cast of the first movie either in talks or , as in the case of Jason Biggs, Eugene Levy and Seann William Scott, already signed on for this sequel. Now, plot details have emerged, and they’ve been boiled down to bullet point form for some reason. You could go read something else, but come on! This is here, you might as well know it (WARNING: Unless, that is, you care about spoilers for American Reunion):

The film will center around the characters’ 10-yea high school reunion.
Oz is the one who made it big, on a reality dancing show.
Stiffler, on the other hand, is not doing well, professionally or romantically.
The now happily-married Jim has to fend off the advances of next-door-neighbor Kara, who apparently has a thing for “pie-f*ckers.”
This doesn’t sit well with Marco, who’s dating Kara (drama!)
Stiffler makes it with Laurie, who was hot in high school but is now 80 pounds less hot.
Jim has “gone viral,” as the kids say, for his performance with from way back with Nadia
Oz brings a girlfriend who apparently is only with him for his money.
Stiffler has a wacky plan to attend the reunion and go to work – on the same weekend!
Former bandcamp attendee Michelle is hot now, teaching us all a valuable lesson about hotness.

Eugene Levy Joins Seann William Scott In ‘Goon’

Shocking news out of Hollywood this morning. Eugene Levy has accepted a role in a real movie, not just another American Pie spin-off film. The movie, however, does star Seann William Scott. Baby steps.

Levy has joined Goon, the indie hockey comedy about a bouncer who joins a crappy hockey team after being "touched by the fist of God." Usually you need to pay top dollar in Brazil for one of those. Anyway, the film also stars Liev Schreiber, Alison Pill, and Jay Baruchel (who also co-wrote with Evan Goldberg). The script is based off the book Goon: The True Story Of The Unlikely Journey Into Minor League Hockey. I’m sorry. I tried to read that last sentence, but all I got was Canada: Canada Canada Canada Canada Canada Canada Canada Canada Canada Canada Canada. (Variety)
