The Academy of People Who Watch A Lot of TV announced their nominees for the 2012 Emmy Awards today and there aren’t too many surprises here. Breaking Bad, Mad Men, Walking Dead, Peter Dinklage, Modern Family… All the favorites.

What I am surprised about are all the nominations for Downton Abbey. Someone’s got a serious woodrow for that show, which is fun, but season two was doo-doo. The only nomination it deserved was Supporting Actor in a Comedy for the guy who plays the terrible doctor. He is the best.
