Man oh man, if this keeps up, the FX sitcom The League is going to end up being our generation’s Dean Martin Roasts. This time, it’s none other than Eliza Dushku, who brings her particular brand of charm to the roll of a sexually aggressive aerobics instructor. You can’t make this stuff up, folks. Anyway, the episode airs Thursday, December 8, 2011 at 10:30 PM ET/PT on FX. Watch it and get less fat.

Bryan Cranston Stars In Another, Non-Nolan ‘Batman’ Movie

Even though the source material for Batman is comics, the live action Batman movies always overshadow the animated ones. I guess that’s because the live action films have bigger budgets, bigger stars, are released in theaters and are seen by more than just comic book nerds. Still… we all loved “Batman: The Animated Series,” right? Let’s show some respect.

The upcoming Batman: Year One, based on the classic Frank Miller comic of the same name, has a voice cast. Ben McKenzie will play the toon battective, Bryan Cranston will voice Pre-Commissioner Lieutenant James Gordon, Katee Sackhoff is set to play Gordon’s best gal Detective Sarah Essen, and Eliza Dushku won’t have to wear a skintight catsuit to voice Catwoman – though, you know, she probably should anyway. Warner Bros Animation is looking to unleash The Bat at this year’s Comic-Con.

The upcoming animated direct-to-DVD Batman movie Batman Year One should be pretty good, considering it’s from Bruce Timm, the man behind the critically acclaimed “Batman” animated series. And the voice cast includes names like Bryan Cranston, Ben McKenzie, Eliza Dushku and Katee Sackhoff, which is also promising.

You can check out two new images from the movie below, both of which seem gloomy and quite reminiscent of the comic by Frank Miller. Pretty cool, right? Here’s a quote from Timm about the project:

“The source material is surprisingly cinematic; it’s a pretty straight forward literal retelling. Mazzucchelli’s artwork is beautifully composed and we were able to refer to the comic for about 80 percent of the camera setups.”

Eliza Dushku (her last name is pronounced Dush-ku, like “push”) is a hottie screen actress, TV star, and men’s magazine covergirl, who is most recognizable for parts on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel. She entered the acting world at the age of 10. She had to legally emancipate herself from her parents to get around child labor laws. That’s hardcore.
