Not to look at pictures of dead bodies.” A) Fire that nanny. B) Is Deb in a same-sex relationship this season? Or perhaps a polyamorous couple?? I can so see Quinn being into that.

The new season of Dexter premieres October 2nd on Showtime.

Today we have a behind-the-scenes look at the upcoming season in advance of the October 2nd premiere. Looks like business as usual at Miami Metro – a dead body ends up on the beach and that somehow lead Dexter to a coalition of killers. But this time they’re murdering in the name of God, not in the name of “Hey, this will feel cool.”

The cast and crew are promising this will be the biggest and weirdest season yet, with the previously established rules poked right in the eye. Does that mean that the Batista and LaGuerta storyline will suddenly make sense and be interesting? I’m not ready for that.

Ooooh, a white lab coat! I wonder if this means she’ll be playing a sexy owner of a white lab coat store. I guess I’ll have to wait until the new season of “Dexter” premieres on Showtime in the fall. (BreaGrant.com)

‘Dexter’ Season 6 Promo Reminds Us Of Fonder Times

On the drama he will play a charming professor of religious studies who doesn’t realize he’s actually an android tasked with the unenviable job of keeping a tight leash on Crockett and Tubbs. I’m sorry. I’ve mixed up my Olmos history again. He’ll only play a charming professor of religious studies it turns out. This fits nicely with the recent news that Mos Def has joined the cast to play an ex-con who has found religion. Seems like he’s found it with the help of Edward James Olmos. Also, it sounds like they’re killing people. Keep it up, guys and Jesus will definitely revoke your homeboyship. (Deadline)

"Battlestar Galactica" fans should be happy about this. Edward James Olmos isn’t ready to let William Adama go. The creators of the TV series are sticking with prequels but he’s got a plan to see Commander Adama again.

“If they don’t I am,” Olmos said in a conference call today. “I’m going to go there. I’m going to go there in a graphic novel. Pretty soon I hope. I don’t know. It just depends on whether people can get behind it and understand it for what it is. I think people will.”

Olmos spoke with the press for Hispanic Heritage Month, where his film Selena is one of the films Warner Brothers is offering on Movies on Demand. Conversation tuned to “BSG” and he elaborated on his plans to continue the story where the series left off.

“I think people would really flip out to know what Lee Adama is doing on the planet, what the chief is doing on the planet and what is the colonel doing on the planet and how is the planet treating us and how are we treating the planet? How are we getting along, the human development that we were inside of the human development that we see today. That’s pretty heavy.”

Olmos is currently looking for artists to help him, so get on that! “That’s what I’m going for right now,” he said.

The series finale of “Battlestar” left Adama on a new planet building a cabin. It turns out Olmos has more ideas based on that too. “I want to know what he’s doing right now, don’t you? I kind of was left with him sitting about to build his cabin, so God almighty I’d like to know what’s happening to him right now. In many moments throughout the day, I’ll think, ‘I wonder what he’s doing? What the heck is he up to? What the heck are those people up to?’ Here they were 200,000 years ago on this earth. They came from the experience that they came from. All I can tell you is: aren’t you guys curious as to what happened to them?”

Yes, we are, Eddie. Yes, we are.
 

July of 2011 is a long way off; almost a year by some estimates. Unfortunately, that’s how long we’ll have to wait for new episodes of "Breaking Bad." But to help keep fans from resorting to meth use, the show’s producers are developing a series of three-to-four minute webisodes to run on the AMC website. According to the show’s star, Bryan Cranston, these websiodes will be more than just fluff.

"I for one am eager to make these little interstitials important. I don’t want them to be simply filler or recap, but something that actually moves the storyline forward. If we’re going to do it, it ought to be a real part of the larger show.”

This sounds like a welcome change from the "Battlestar Galactica" websiodes, which consisted mainly of deleted scenes and 15 minutes of Edward James Olmos letting loose on the can. (Deadline)

Peter Gabriel and Phil Collins once sang, "Though we might hate to admit it/There are always two sides to every story."  I bet the two ex-Genesis frontmen had no idea they’d be singing about "Battlestar Galactica."

SCI FI Wire posted an exclusive trailer for the BSG spinoff movie called The Plan, which they claim "will likely come out on DVD and will also air this fall—recaps the story of the destruction of the human Colonies from the point of view of the Cylons."

Screen Junkies’ resident BSG expert, Jim "Bad Mother Frakker" Connelly expressed his concern over what the toll this film will take on the lives of all Battlestar fans.  Said Connelly, "[I'm] worried EJO is right, and that it’ll spur rewatching the whole series again!"  I’m guessing Connelly’s EJO is Edward James Olmos and not the Electronic Journal of Oncology.  The latter did have a great article on smoking and polymorphism in xenobiotic metabolizing enzymes, though.
