Thankfully, we may get to stake those bad memories in the heart, because a new actor is taking on the Van Helsing monster-hunting mission in Dracula 3D: Rutger Hauer (Hobo With A Shotgun, Android Bird Guy from Blade Runner). That sounds like great casting, and not just “great because the actress is totally hot” casting, but actual good casting.

Legendary Italian horror director Dario Argento‘s take on the king of all vampires hasn’t sparked my interest until now, but my SJ colleagues loved Hobo With A Shotgun. So much so, I’m willing to give a movie called Dracula 3D a chance. With vampire movies more numerous than tween girls at a Robert Pattinson Shirtless Charity Car Wash event, if your take on the genre is that “it’s-a totally in-a 3D” (that’s my Dario Argento impression), you might not have much to add.
