The title Dirty Grandpa sounds like a porno. Or at least, it sounds like one of those softcore 80s comedies you’d see while browsing at Blockbuster. Maybe that’s what Dirty Grandpa screenwriter John Phillips is going for, and the poster will be a hand-drawn woman with big boobs in a bikini passing by two horny old grandpas – one of them is reaching for her butt, the other one is grabbing his chest, about to have a heart attack. Watch out for boobs, grandpa.

But enough speculating. Universal has bought the script Dirty Grandpa from Upright Citizens Brigade comedian Phillips. The story “centers on a recently widowed man who gets to know his grandson better while the grandson is about to marry the wrong girl.” Who will play the recently widowed man? The grandson? The wrong girl who will almost certainly not be married by the film’s end? Sorry, no stars or director are attached yet. However, we do know the often less-exciting role of producer will go to Barry Josephson (Enchanted). (Collider, Variety)
