Apparently one Oscar is enough for these guys.

It’s time to coast for producers David Hoeberman and Todd Lieberman, two producers behind the Oscar-winning The Fighter. Their next play? A film adaptation of Crosshairs, a comic book that, according to THR, “centers on a former CIA assassin-turned-suburban dad who must race against the clock to stop a program inside his brain from turning him into at unstoppable killing machine whose target is the U.S. president.”

Apparently one Oscar is enough for these guys.

The team has been shopping their project around with Morgan Foehl attached to write the adaptation, which should offer some totally new observations about the banality of suburban life while juxtaposing it with the dangers and excitement of the world of international espionage and intrigue. Oh, when two worlds collide!

Now, which comedic schlub will be cast to race against the clock in suburbia? My money’s on Vince Vaughn, in a slight variation on his Beanie character from Old School. It really doesn’t matter, though. All that matters is that no one try too hard and hurt themselves and this just gets a nice, early-summer release date so all involve can go back to their private islands and complacency.
