Having seen Meloni on both sides of the law in SVU and Oz, I don’t immediately see him as strictly a hero or villain here, so this announcement still maintains some mystery. However, after seeing his chops in film and television, and drama and comedy, it’s exciting to see this guy progress to the next stage of his career.

Though if he doesn’t beat the hell out of at least one person in Superman – missed opportunity.
