In this clip, John Hamm reads from comedy writer John Glaser’s new book, My Dead Dad Was In ZZ Top. The book consists of official documents and letters Glaser supposedly found while researching the history of rock and roll. Obviously the whole thing is an instance of clever satire, as evidenced by the fact that Hamm is reading from a document detailing how the band Butthole Surfers came to adopt their name. I don’t want to spoil too much, but it involved a secret military project that took place in human anuses. Gripping. (BadassDigest)
