So many secrets surround this movie. I don't know who I can trust.

If you stuck around during the end credits of Super 8 and didn’t watch the left side of the screen, you noticed that Bruce Greenwood was credited with the role of Cooper in the film. Then you were all like, which one was Cooper? Then you likely forgot about it and went to your friend Tom’s birthday party.

Have A Quick Look At The ‘Super 8′ Alien In This New Viral Video

Anyway, it turns out that after months of secrecy, the alien in Super 8 was actually Bruce Greenwood covered in ping-pong balls. The Star Trek actor is now talking about his role in the Spielberg homage and how performing the motion capture was a very different experience from what he’s accustomed to.

“It’s not your typical acting exercise at all, because you’re really the only person in this room with all these cameras in it. It was a very weird thing to offer up all this big emotion while . . . the rest of the people in the room are picking away at the craft services table. And you never really (sic) how it will turn out because it’s all left in the hands of the artists and animators who are putting your work together.

“The other part that was really memorable was that I saw a bunch of other (big name) actors who were doing the same thing in other studios . . . and there we were: In one-piece Danskins with our pot bellies and saggy asses hanging out.”

So, everyone on set eats craft service during motion capture shoots leaving the actor to do their own thing? In other news, Brett Ratner just hired Andy Serkis. (Montreal Gazette)

A trailer for the nicely reviewed Meek’s Cutoff has finally arrived online and only a few hundred explorers died of dysentery in the process. Not bad.

Starring Michelle Williams, Bruce Greenwood, Will Patton, Zoe Kazan, and Paul Dano, the Oregon Trail western focuses less on fording your little guys across rivers and takes a realistic look at the monotony and suckiness of traveling via covered wagon. Greenwood plays Meek, a hired guide who leads three families to a supposed shortcut but may have sinister intentions. Or he’s just kind of a dumb-ass.

The bleak, non-sensationalized film really puts into perspective the struggles of our ancestors. In today’s modern world, it’s easy to take for granted the sacrifices that had to be made so that we can all smoke some of that really good Portland weed while watching “Tim and Eric.”

The iconic Captain Pike.
Experts claimed that there would never ever be another Star Trek film. Despite their assurances, director J.J. Abrams is scheduled to begin shooting a sequel in January, according to actor Bruce Greenwood. As you'll remember, Greenwood played everyone's favorite Enterprise Captain, Christopher Pike.
"I just know that the plan is to film it in January, more than that, I don't know," Greenwood said, adding that he hoped to have a role in the movie.
While there is no word on the script, I'm hoping it involves time travel. I just think it's really neat, and it's only been used as a major plot point in about a third of all the Star Trek films, so it's still fresh. (Coming Soon)
