David Faustino (Bud Bundy) Is To Blame For will.i.am

David Faustino seems to be living life as a former child star the right way. According to a recent interview with LA Weekly, the 5′ 3″ Married…with Children star now spends his days loving the bachelor‘s life, content smoking weed, drinking, and owning a nightclub where a handful of hip-hop stars got their start.

And he hasn’t let his career-making role as Bud Bundy haunt him. Rather, he’s embraced it. In the early-mid 90′s, when Faustino (is that Italian for “little Faust?”) was reaping the spoils of his sitcom career, he opened a weekly party on the Sunset Strip known as Balistyx, which probably holds the record for the most 90′s name of anything, ever.

At this party, Faustino was able to garner some rising rap stars, as well as some established veterans, including KRS-One, and even N.W.A. However, he was also responsible for unleashing will.i.am upon an unsuspecting public.

“[Faustino] had a big influence,” will.i.am said. “I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for his club.”

Well, now we know who to blame. Thanks a lot, Grandmaster B.

Does N.W.A. cancel out the Black Eyed Peas? That could be one of the enduring questions of our generation.

7 Insulting NFL Pop-Music Crossovers

The NFL is not a place for the weak. In order to win, you need to push your body and mind to their limits, and even that isn’t enough all of the time. It’s an aggressive, punishing sport. So why does it constantly get paired with the cheesiest, fluffiest music? For years, half-time shows and TV theme songs have been performed by odd choices that have nothing to do with the sport. So, why has pop continually gone hand in hand with the big game? It doesn’t keep the momentum going and it’s not pleasing to anyone with ears. Does the NFL really think a shitty musical act is going to make non-fans interested? Is it intended to get our kids dancing? We’re not trying to raise cheerleaders.

Here’s a collection of the worst musical performances that we’ve had to suffer through to enjoy smashmouth football. And, no, Smashmouth did not make the list. Though they so could have.

Of course, we were all shocked when Janet Jackson’s breast was exposed during the Super Bowl XXXVIII Half-Time Show, but at least that was a show. Take a look at what passed as a Half-Time Show at Super Bowl XXIII. A magic Elvis doing an elaborate, non-nonsensical card trick while dancers end their careers behind him. No wonder the Bud Bowl was so popular. This wouldn’t even be cool on a cruise ship. I really hope the FCC fined somebody over this.

One hundred and eleven million people watched the Superbowl yesterday. ONE HUNDRED AND ELEVEN MILLION!!!! 111,000,000!!! AHH!! that is so many millions. So very many millions of people sitting in front of a football game, watching the Black Eyed Peas ruin Tron AND music in one fell swoop. Congratulations, everyone! We did it! We shattered the record previously held by last year’s Superbowl, which pulled in 106.5 million, or the “M*A*S*H” finale, which was viewed by 106 million people back in 1983. As a die hard fan of really expensive ad space and different colored helmets, I was a happy camper. However, to get real for a minute, only half a million people watched FX’s “Terriers” this past season, and 111 million people watched Fergie butcher Sweet Child Of Mine. James Cameron Allegedly Directing Black Eyed Peas Concert Film

Will.i.am is saying things. Namely, that James Cameron is writing and directing a 3D concert film for his group The Black Eyed Peas. Well, this is obviously the truth. Cameron is well known for his laidback attitude and enjoyment of jokes and good times all around, so OF COURSE he’d force Fergie‘s humps upon us in three dimensions.

Sure, it sounds like a project far more suited for McG but keep in mind James Cameron is on the rebound. He was recently shot down by BP, only to have them run off with Kevin Costner. Rejection does funny things to a man. Like, make them flush away all credibility by teaming up with the Nickelback of hip-hop. Or sleep with a homeless woman during a bender. What’s most important is that nobody is being judged here. (Vibe)
