<p>It&#8217;s the film Disney doesn&#8217;t want you to see (besides those anti-Semitic ones). Ben Hibond (the guy who did the awesome animated sequence in <em><a href="http://www.screenjunkies.com/movies/movie-review/review-harry-potter-and-the-deathly-hallows-pt-1/" target="_blank">Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows</a>) </em>has signed on to direct <em>Pan</em>, the dark retelling of &#8220;<a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/tag/peter-pan-447/' class='linkify' target='_blank'>Peter Pan</a>.&#8221; Originally set up for <a href="http://www.screenjunkies.com/tv/tv-news/guillermo-del-toro-smash-tv-norms-with-hulk-series/" target="_blank">Guillermo del Toro</a>, the film re-imagines the story of Captain Hook as a disgraced detective on the hunt for a childlike kidnapper. God only knows what that sick freak is doing with those <a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/tag/lost-boys-313/' class='linkify' target='_blank'>Lost Boys</a>. All we know is that in direct opposition of his personal mantra, those children will <a href="http://www.screenjunkies.com/Video/justin-bieber-dirties-the-camera-lens-in-new-never-say-never-trailer/" target="_blank">NEVER</a> speak up.</p>
<p>Sounds like a solid concept to me. I never trusted Peter Pan, what with his sprightly jaunt and soft features. The mischievous smile and that glass eye. You know what, maybe it&#8217;s just Sandy Duncan that I don&#8217;t trust. (<a href="http://www.variety.com/article/VR1118027846" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Variety</a>)</p>
