There are many memorable and funny family movies from the '80s. This is a decade that knew exactly how to grab children's attention by making the heroes kids or adults…
Let the arguments about the time-space continuum begin as these underrated time travel movies from the past get their day in the present, with a brief stop in the middle ages.
These "Back to the Future" quotes come from the classic film that combined the age old desire of wanting to time travel with the fantastic materialism of the '80s: time…

I can't believe it's been over 25 years since the first Back to the Future came out. To commemorate the anniversary, Universal is releasing the entire trilogy on Blu-ray, and I got to take the discs for an early run.
I'm not going to write a synopsis of the films because, well, it's Back to the Future. I can't imagine you being on Screen Junkies and not having seen these movies a million times. So you know my stance going into the Blu-ray review, I will say that I dearly love Back to the Future, but find the sequels a bit lacking. Still really fun movies, but they aren't on the same level as the original.

Back to the Future is one of those movies I’ve wondered about my whole life. I love it, even the theories I don’t think make sense, I love thinking about them. The upcoming Blu-Ray release answered my number one question: What would Eric Stoltz have been like as Marty McFly?
For the rest, I got to talk to screenwriter Bob Gale. He’s in the bonus features, with Robert Zemeckis, Stephen Spielberg, Michael J. Fox and Lea Thompson talking about all three films, with still new stories to tell since the last DVD extras. Sorry, I neglected all the burning 1941 questions.

Michael J. Fox returns as Marty McFly to recreate the teaser for the original Back to the Future movie film. Still not quite sure why the Spike Scream Awards is the event reuniting the cast of BTTF, but whatever. It'll be good to see Lea Thompson out and about for the first time since "Caroline in the City."

Thanks to the Blu-Ray release of Back To The Future, long-rumored footage of Eric Stoltz as Marty McFly has finally surfaced. What are you doing in there, Eric Stoltz? You are not a Marty McFly. You are an Eric Stoltz.
A bit of background, Stoltz was originally hired for the lead role but then replaced by Michael J. Fox after five weeks of filming. Fans have talked about the existence of this footage, but few have seen it. It's bizarre yet awesome to see after all this time. Now that this is out of the way, can we get back to work on making Hover Boards real?

Oh, happy day. Robert Zemeckis is finally ready to take a step away from directing creepy dead-in-the-eyes motion capture features, and return to what he does best — live-action movies about time travel. The director will get behind the lens for Timeless, a project we don't know jack about. Other than the news that it's scripted by Mike Thompson, is about time travel and will have a lot of money pumped into it by Warner Bros. As a huge fan of the Back to the Future films, I'm already psyched for it. If Zemeckis can get used to working with flesh and blood, non-creepy actors again (or Crispin Glover), we should be in for a treat. (Deadline)
It’s been 25 years since director Robert Zemeckis and producer Bob Gale hatched the plot for one of the greatest sci-fi franchises of all time: Back to the Future. In honor of the anniversary, all three films are being released on Blu-ray, complete with all the bonus features you’ve come to expect even though you usually never watch.
In this clip procured by Cinema Blend, Zemeckis and Gale discuss the idea behind the film, and how a chance look through an old yearbook lead to the formation of the plot. It's something, huh? Who would've thought? 100 to 1 shot! I wish I could go back to the beginning of production, put some money on Zemeckis. I said I wish I could go back to the beginning of production, put some money on Robbie.

In a move that can only be described as heavy, Seth MacFarlane purchased an exact replica of the time-traveling DeLorean from Back to the Future, TMZ is reporting. The creator of "Family Guy" and "American Dad" has put about $20,000 worth of customized equipment into the vehicle in order to match its onscreen counterpart. According to one insider who has seen the car up close, it is nothing short of "insane."
Some people will say that MacFarlane is a real butthead, and that spending so much money is about as useful as a screen door on a battleship. But those people should make like a tree and get outta here.
Someone spent a loooooooot of time building a near exact replica of the DeLorean from Back to the Future and now they're hawking it on eBay for you, or someone with more money than you, to purchase. I actually saw this very DeLorean at a car show in Culver City, CA this past Summer, and I have to say it's a pretty amazing contraption. The only downside is it doesn't come equipped with a flux capacitor, arguably the coolest part of the DeLorean in the film, and the interior smells like the remains of Christopher Lloyd's career. That stuff's like cigarette smoke, it just doesn't come out.So far there's been one bid on Doc's DeLorean and it's currently at $59,000.00 with the reserve price unmet. If you choose, you can also purchase the car at the current "Buy It Now" price of $89,000.00.Check out all the stats at the eBay page and see a few more pics of the souped-up DeLorean after the jump.
