Monkeys Attack In ’30 Minutes Or Less’ Red-Band

Sony has dropped the brand spankin’ new red-band trailer for 30 Minutes or Less. The film stars Jesse Eisenberg as a pizza delivery boy who’s forced to rob a bank by two hick madmen. If he doesn’t perform the task in the time allotted, a bomb strapped to his chest will blow him into the next world (as evidenced by the teddy bear in the trailer). Danny McBride and Nick Swardson play the criminal “masterminds,” while Aziz Ansari plays the best friend with stellar manners when it comes to receiving sexual favors. The film is directed by Ruben Fleischer, the man behind the inventive zombie action-comedy Zombieland.

30 Minutes or Less hits theaters August 12, 2012.

Don’t Panic: Everyone’s Back For ‘Ice Age 4′

I know you’ve been worried about whether Ray Romano and Queen Latifah will return for the next Ice Age movie. You can stop refreshing the Screen Junkies home page because… *drum roll*… yes, they will be. Time to take a deep breathe, I have to keep reminding myself.

Fox’s $2 billion dollar grossing Ice Age series is coming out with a fourth installment, Continental Drift, a “high seas” adventure. More returning cast members that have been thawed out include Denis Leary, Josh Peck, Seann William Scott and John Leguizamo.

New warm-blooded additions to the cast include Jeremy Renner, Jennifer Lopez, Wanda Sykes, Keke Palmer, Drake and Aziz Ansari. Though I admit Ansari will probably be a great voice actor, I will not pay $38 to see another Ice Age movie in 3D. I’d rather just watch”Parks and Recreation” with my eyes closed and pretend his character’s a squirrel or something.

Way less than 30 minutes, actually. We’re talking seconds.

Below are two new posters to go along with the recently released trailer for 30 Minutes Or Less, starring Jesse Eisenberg and Aziz Ansari. It’s based on a true story, but a crazy true story, not one of those bullshit, heartwarming true stories you see advertised every now and again. (I’m looking at you, tail-less dolphin movie.) Eisenberg plays a pizza guy assaulted by criminals played by Nick Swardson and Danny McBride. They strap a bomb to his chest and force him to rob a bank, and somehow his buddy Aziz gets involved. This has all the elements I look for in a comedy: great cast, ridiculous premise, maximum hijinx potential.

The posters feature a scared as hell Eisenberg and Ansari, mid-robbery, as well as the very first intelligent apes from Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Didn’t you know this takes place in the Apes universe? Just like in the true story its based on. (30 Minutes Or Less Official Site)

We finally have a look at Jesse Eisenberg and Aziz Ansari in the heist comedy 30 Minutes Or Less. The comedy follows Eisenberg and Ansari’s broken friendship after Eisenberg is rigged to explode unless the duo rob a bank within nine hours. As predicted, Ansari is the angry guy and Eisenberg is the guy who seems like he might wet himself at any given moment. CALLED DAT SHIT!

What I didn’t see coming was the The Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes cross-over. Those monkeys must be stopped before we’re all slapped in the face with Fate’s cock.

In 30 Minutes Or Less, Danny McBride and Nick Swardson kidnap pizza delivery guy Jesse Eisenberg, and force he and Aziz Ansari to rob a bank. Although we’ve yet to see a trailer, let’s all imagine a slow-motion shot where Eisenberg and Ansari scream as their car jumps a drawbridge. In the meantime, we have the above pictures. Looks like Ansari is playing “Angry Guy,” while Eisenberg plays “Nervous Guy,” McBride plays “Redneck Guy,” and Swardson plays a Juggalo.

Aziz Ansari Loaning His Filthy Mouth To ‘What’s Your Number?’

Aziz Ansari is being called in to add a little extra raunch to Fox’s upcoming raunchy Anna Faris comedy What’s Your Number? Though shooting has wrapped, it was discovered that Faris couldn’t provide enough raunch for the entire movie. The solution is to bring Ansari in to read one line of voice-over.

The comedian has been sought for a voice-over that plays a crucial part in the film’s later scenes. That line, by the way, is “shitty hand job.” All he has to do is roll out of bed, get on an ISDN line, say “shitty hand job,” and then go about his day. Even the movie trailer guys don’t have it that easy. (via The Playlist)

If you watch NBC on Thursday nights you’ve likely seen Natalie Morales deliver a few lines of well-timed sarcasm as Aziz Ansari’s girlfriend on “Parks and Recreation.” Morales, a relative newcomer on the acting scene (her first gig was in 2006), doesn’t have many roles to her name yet, but that hasn’t stopped her from grabbing attention both on and off the screen. She did a brief spot in Oliver Stone‘s not-so-celebrated Wall Street sequel, landed a leading role in the short-lived sci-fi dramedy “The Middlemen” and was featured in Maxim last year.

We’ve reported on Bad Teacher, 30 Minutes Or Less, and Anonymous before. But now we have first looks and better descriptions of the doings that transpire on-screen. Check it.

Set in the political snake-pit of Elizabethan England, Anonymous speculates on an issue that has for centuries intrigued academics and brilliant minds ranging from Mark Twain and Charles Dickens to Henry James and Sigmund Freud, namely: who was the author of the plays credited to William Shakespeare? Experts have debated, books have been written, and scholars have devoted their lives to protecting or debunking theories surrounding the authorship of the most renowned works in English literature. Anonymous poses one possible answer, focusing on a time when cloak-and-dagger political intrigue, illicit romances in the Royal Court, and the schemes of greedy nobles hungry for the power of the throne were exposed in the most unlikely of places: the London stage.

You should also note that this drama is directed by Roland “ID4″ Emmerich. The Globe Theatre is so f*cked.

BAD TEACHER

Some teachers just don’t give an F. For example, there’s Elizabeth (Cameron Diaz). She’s foul-mouthed, ruthless, and inappropriate. She drinks, she gets high, and she can’t wait to marry her meal ticket and get out of her bogus day job. When she’s dumped by her fiancé, she sets her plan in motion to win over a rich, handsome substitute (Justin Timberlake) – competing for his affections with an overly energetic colleague, Amy (Lucy Punch). When Elizabeth also finds hersel fighting off the advances of a sarcastic, irreverent gym teacher (Jason Segel), the consequences of her wild and outrageous schemes give her students, her coworkers, and even herself an education like no other.

Drinking and drugs? I guess it’s no big deal as long as she’s not the Driver’s Ed teacher.

30 MINUTES OR LESS

In the action-comedy 30 Minutes or Less, Nick (Jesse Eisenberg) is a small town pizza delivery guy whose mundane life collides with the big plans of two wanna-be criminal masterminds (Danny McBride and Nick Swardson). The volatile duo kidnaps Nick and forces him to rob a bank. With mere hours to pull off the impossible task, Nick enlists the help of his ex-best friend, Chet (Aziz Ansari). As the clock ticks, the two must deal with the police, hired assassins, flamethrowers, and their own tumultuous relationship.

I see the major plot hole already. When it turns into a hostage situation, they’ll undoubtedly call out for pizza. Well, who’s gonna deliver it? That’s how you end up with dead hostages, my friend. (via Collider)

Danny McBride and Aziz Ansari Take On An ‘Olympic-Size A**hole’

The veil has been lifted on Aziz Ansari and Danny McBride‘s super-secret comedy project. Not 30 Minutes Or Less. We already know about that one. I’m talking about their other comedy project. The comedians are teaming up again for Olympic-Size A**hole. Written by Ansari and Harris Wittels, it’s a revenge flick that follows McBride and Ansari as they set out to destroy an Olympic athlete that banged their girlfriends.

The title, Olympic-Size A**hole, may change as it could easily be mistaken for a Lindsay Lohan biopic. (MTV)

2010 MTV Movie Awards: The Big “Winners”

For those who missed it, Aziz Ansari rented a child’s tux and hosted the 2010 Extended Twilight Saga: Eclipse Commercial last night and it was off the (insert current slang)! Girls kissed for attention, Tom Cruise stole Ben Stiller’s act, and some people went home with awards. And some of them weren’t even in Twilight.

The Twilight Saga: New Moon swept of course, taking home five awards for Best Picture, Best Male and Female Performance, Best Kiss, and the Global Superstar Award. Anna Kendrick picked up a Golden Popcorn for her breakout in Up In The Air, and Beyonce and Ali Larter won Best Fight for Obsessed. And good for them. Larter trained with Yuen Wo-ping for 4 months to learn how to properly rip a bitch’s weave.

Ansari and McBride Are Teaming Up For Some Kind of Movie

Today we have further assurance that every comedy will eventually look and sound the same as Deadline reports that funnymen of note, Aziz Ansari and Danny McBride, are teaming up for another "laffer." Mandate Pictures bought the rights, based on a pitch by Ansari and "30 Rock" writer Matt Hubbard. McBride’s Rough House will produce, with "Parks and Recreation" writer Harris Wittels handling the script. No details are known about the rib-tickler as of yet but with both Ansari and McBride on board, you can bet it will be a yuckfest. A real orgy of giggles.

The knee-slapper isn’t expected to go before cameras until the duo wrap their upcoming guffawcalypse, 30 Minutes Or Less. If my gut ain’t lying, (and she never does) this is gonna be one uproarious talkie.

Aziz Ansari to Deliver in ’30 Minutes or Less’

The director of Zombieland, Ruben Fleischer, is doing a movie about pizza and Aziz Ansari is in negotiations to star. 30 Minutes or Less follows an aimless delivery man who is forced to rob a bank by two goons who strap a bomb to his chest. Ansari would play the poor sap’s straight-man buddy, on hand to recommend deep breaths and “stepping back and looking at the situation from a different perspective.” So my headline doesn’t make complete sense. Sue me. (Don’t sue me).

Seeing Ansari in a straight-man role would definitely be a change of pace for the actor. Not that he’s a Jim Carrey type, but Ansari has been known to expend physical energy on stage, especially when discussing Coldstone Creamery. Danny McBride is rumored to play the unfortunate pizza pusher, which would set up a nice dynamic. I can already hear McBride putting his unique North Carolina twang on an Indian racial slur. (THR)
