Just when you think your heart is ready to trust again.

The full-length trailer for Roland Emmerich‘s Anonymous is here and it has some bad news. No, the U.S. Capitol Building hasn’t been laser-raped by an out-of-control storm system. Rather, William Shakespeare has been lying to you. To all of us. What the movie proposes is that the Bard of Avon never wrote a word. In fact, the poems and plays were the work of Edward De Vere, Earl of Oxford, but he was banned from including his name on his work.

Just when you think you know a guy. Shakespeare is lucky Oprah is off the air. Otherwise, he’d be getting a very public talking-to.

They're totally breaking the bro code by not sharing plot details.

Sony and Roland Emmerich are keeping secrets from us. In this case, it’s details about the film Singularity.

Right now we know that a film called Singularity will be released on May 17th, 2013 and that it will be Emmerich’s return to science fiction. The director took a detour from his normal body of work with the Shakespeare conspiracy thriller Anonymous but is apparently ready to blow up recognizable buildings again. Let’s admit it. Frank Gehry has had it coming to him for awhile now. (Deadline)

Hope you like waiting longer for movies.

There’s nothing worse than eagerly awaiting the release of a film only to find out the studio has dragged it even further down the calendar. Today I deliver such news. Several films are shifting around their schedules and finding homes on dates far, far away from now. How far, you ask? So far that we’ll see the next season of”Mad Men” before their release.
<a class='img' href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/gallery/looper-set-photos-future-cars-dont-look-futurey-enough/' title=''Looper' Set Photos: Future Cars Don't Look Futurey Enough '>
4 photos'Looper' Set Photos: Future Cars Don't Look Futurey Enough

The highly-anticipated Looper from director Rian Johnson (Brick, Th Brothers Bloom) will land in theaters September 28, 2012, a whole honkin’ 15 months from now. You could have 1 and 2/3 of a baby in that amount of time! Johnson stated, “I’d love for it to be sooner, but it’s a good date for the movie, hopefully it’ll be worth the wait.” It damn well better be. We want our Bruce Willis and Joseph Gordon-Levitt time travel flick, and we want it yesterday.

The Luc Besson-produced Lockout has moved from Februar 24 to April 12, 2012. Playing the Field, in which Gerard Butler tries to bang hot soccer moms, goes to March 9, 2012. Finally, Anonymous from Roland Emmerich, who’s taking a pause from destroying the earth to question Shakespeare‘s authorship, opens October 28th.

Don’t worry about these shifting schedules too much. I’m told there will be several movies of varying genres coming out over the next few months to tide you over.

All that time spent studying the works of Shakespeare, completely wasted.

Director Roland Emmerich is famous for his movies featuring mass destruction of major cities. Now he appears to be changing gears with Anonymous, a thriller about the notion that William Shakespeare’s plays, sonnets, and other poems were not actually written by Shakespeare. How Emmerich manages to work cannon fire (or should I say “canon fire”? Ho ho!) into this plot, I don’t know, but I guess we’ll find out more when the movie comes out.

The song in the trailer is “Everything in its Right Place” off of Radiohead’s Kid A, in case you’re like me and have trouble differentiating between tracks on Kid A. Hey, have you heard my conspiracy theory that Radiohead didn’t really write and record any of their songs? Check my blog for the real truth – and Mr. Emmerich, I think it could make a great movie.

We've reported on Bad Teacher, 30 Minutes Or Less, and Anonymous before. But now we have first looks and better descriptions of the doings that transpire on-screen.

We’ve reported on Bad Teacher, 30 Minutes Or Less, and Anonymous before. But now we have first looks and better descriptions of the doings that transpire on-screen. Check it.

ANONYMOUS

Set in the political snake-pit of Elizabethan England, Anonymous speculates on an issue that has for centuries intrigued academics and brilliant minds ranging from Mark Twain and Charles Dickens to Henry James and Sigmund Freud, namely: who was the author of the plays credited to William Shakespeare? Experts have debated, books have been written, and scholars have devoted their lives to protecting or debunking theories surrounding the authorship of the most renowned works in English literature. Anonymous poses one possible answer, focusing on a time when cloak-and-dagger political intrigue, illicit romances in the Royal Court, and the schemes of greedy nobles hungry for the power of the throne were exposed in the most unlikely of places: the London stage.

You should also note that this drama is directed by Roland “ID4″ Emmerich. The Globe Theatre is so f*cked.

BAD TEACHER

Some teachers just don’t give an F. For example, there’s Elizabeth (Cameron Diaz). She’s foul-mouthed, ruthless, and inappropriate. She drinks, she gets high, and she can’t wait to marry her meal ticket and get out of her bogus day job. When she’s dumped by her fiancé, she sets her plan in motion to win over a rich, handsome substitute (Justin Timberlake) – competing for his affections with an overly energetic colleague, Amy (Lucy Punch). When Elizabeth also finds hersel fighting off the advances of a sarcastic, irreverent gym teacher (Jason Segel), the consequences of her wild and outrageous schemes give her students, her coworkers, and even herself an education like no other.

Drinking and drugs? I guess it’s no big deal as long as she’s not the Driver’s Ed teacher.

30 MINUTES OR LESS

In the action-comedy 30 Minutes or Less, Nick (Jesse Eisenberg) is a small town pizza delivery guy whose mundane life collides with the big plans of two wanna-be criminal masterminds (Danny McBride and Nick Swardson). The volatile duo kidnaps Nick and forces him to rob a bank. With mere hours to pull off the impossible task, Nick enlists the help of his ex-best friend, Chet (Aziz Ansari). As the clock ticks, the two must deal with the police, hired assassins, flamethrowers, and their own tumultuous relationship.

I see the major plot hole already. When it turns into a hostage situation, they’ll undoubtedly call out for pizza. Well, who’s gonna deliver it? That’s how you end up with dead hostages, my friend. (via Collider)
