The Internet has spoken!

The Zombieland series is dead on arrival. Creator Rhett Reese took to Twitter last night to report the news that the terrible pilot inspired by the movie would not be picked up by Amazon after all. He tweets, “I’ll never understand the vehement hate the pilot received from die-hard Zombieland fans. You guys successfully hated it out of existence.”

The cheap-o version of the not particularly enjoyable movie was posted on Amazon with a few other pilots in the first wave of the company’s experiments with original programming. It was the highest profile pilot released but thanks to an absence of quality and an abundance of negative feedback, the series will not be moving forward. In fact, I hear the cast will never work again. Even the ones who hid their faces behind heavy amounts of zombie makeup.

What’s most impressive is how quickly and well this system worked. You have to hate something sooo hard to make it no longer exist. So good job! Now let’s get to work on making the movie version disappear too. Hate until it hurts!
Hint: It wasn't 'The Wizard Of Oz'.

Eli Roth has found his people. With his next film, the cannibalism movie The Green Inferno, gearing up to shoot in a remote Amazon village, Roth was surprised to find out that the 200 extras he’d casted from the village had never seen a motion picture before. It was then that he decided to introduce them to the compelling world of cinema.

“So we brought a generator and set up a television. I thought they were going to show them E.T. or The Wizard of Oz, but they showed them Cannibal Holocaust to see how much they could handle.”

Did it freak them out?

“The villagers thought it was the funniest thing they’d ever seen.”

Roth was later boiled in a large cauldron. They even made him peel the carrots. (Movieline)
