Which means, they best them at the Annual Greek Games, steal their homes, and then their girlfriends.

Of course, it could be an all-out cheesefest that doesn’t strike the right balance of bullshit to awesome in the same way that Battle: Los Angeles did. But for right now, I’m gleefully optimistic that this movie is going to kick ass in a dumb fun kind of way. Unless, of course, Liam Neeson speaks the line, “They sank my battleship!” In which case, laaaaame.

He will play one of two vikin brothers who embark on a mission back to their native Sweden after getting banned from North America. The script is written by Chris Boal, who is having a career day with Warner Bros, having just gotten the greenlight for his Julius Caesar script earlier today. See kids? It pays to be a history buff.

According to Variety, the film is expected to be a tentpole for Warner, along the lines of a Braveheart or Gladiator. He should be careful, though. His success with this film could seriously hurt his camp value as an actor on True Blood. Just something to think about.

But that’s not all that’s coming to Bon Temps. We also see what we’ve all come to love about the show. Vampires trying to repair their image in the post-Russell Edgerton world, blood-covered sex, non-blood-covered sex, panther sex, shape-shifter sex, and strippers. Just like all the best Snoop Dogg videos. I never thought I’d say it, but I can’t hardly wait to watch all of this blood-covered sex with panthers. **screams “Hurry up!!” at Kittens Wearing Glasses wall calendar**

“True Blood” fans get really upset when you confuse their beloved sexy vampire show with Twilight. Yet not only are they both about sexy vampires, but they also both seem to prominently feature ripped shirtless guys. I guess that’s the one thing all the fangirls can agree on, before the Team Edwarders call the Bloodheads “whores” and the Truehards call the Twihards “prissy little emo wannabes.” Settle down, goth ladies.

If you’re already making a movie out of a grid-based board game, and you’ve already decided to add an extraterrestrial element for no apparent reason, why in the hell wouldn’t you throw a popular female R’n'B singer into the mix?

Empire Online is reporting that Rihanna will make her feature film debut in Peter Berg‘s Battleship. The singer will join Alexander Skarsgard and Taylor Kitsch who have already signed on to the project, for some reason.

Not to be outdone, Rihanna’s ex-boyfriend, singer Chris Brown, has announced plans to star in an off-Broadway production of Connect Four: The Musical. Will it prove as successful? Only time will tell.

To many, making a movie about a nautical-themed board game might seem a tad stupid. But for all you skeptics, there’s one thing you should know. An "alien invasion" element has been added to the plot.
