This is despite being the subject of several TV series in the UK. But, as with fellow UK character Borat, that might be about to change, since Coogan is reportedly working on a script for an Alan Partridge movie. Here’s Coogan on the project:

“We’re writing it right now, going to shoot it next year. Don’t know who will direct it, but Pete Baynham(‘Borat‘) and Armando Ianucci are writing it with me. We’ve already started it.”

This definitely makes it sound like this is not an”Arrested Development movie” situation, but instead a “movie that will actually get made at some point” situation. (The Playlist)
